The staff were very nice & attentive. Someone came to ask if everything was ok with the room each day. It is very safe & secure as well with security/guards at both entries. The property itself is very gorgeous & well maintained.

While the hotel itself is nice, the service was disappointing. Multiple times we asked for towels that were missing or ice (since our room didn't have a fridge) and they didn't bring them and needed multiple reminders. We asked for a quiet room and was placed next to the pool with music with loud bass starting at 8am. Lots of families here. The other hotel we stayed at in Antigua was much better. Location was a little less central compared to other alternatives as well.

We had a wonderful stay at Porta Antigua! We spent two nights there while visiting the Flower Festival, and the experience was truly magical. The hotel is both sophisticated and beautiful — a perfect blend of classic charm and modern comfort. Our room was spotless, well-designed, and incredibly comfortable. The food at the restaurant was delicious — both breakfast and dinner were outstanding, and the staff were genuinely kind and attentive. The location couldn’t be better — conveniently set in the heart of the city, just two blocks from Central Park. We would definitely come back. Porta Antigua is the kind of place that makes you fall in love with Antigua all over again.
