living room give adequate space for opening many papers....... A second table is still available for dinning......

We will clean the house and keep it locked and unoccupied for the 3 days and nights prior your arrival. Or tell me how long do you prefer the house
to remain empty and locked before your arrival without any charge.

Although Air-conditioning is everywhere and all the time available in Panorama House, most of the guests did not used it, for long time (or even not at all) since the location of the house has most of the time a natural cool breeze.
So in this simple way the Panorama House is a more ecological friendly vacation house, as is has less energy consumption.

Anyway our renovated modern vacation Panorama house is also fully air-conditioned, although in practice you will need it very seldom (of course you can use air-conditioning as long as you wish) .

From our Panorama house you can easily walk in the traditional village of Kournas and visit traditional cheap local taverns with delicious Greek dishes.

The photos of the views that you can see are taken by me, my wife and my children, either from the verandas of the house or at the sandy beach, using a simple cell phone and a camera. Also the photos of the house are taken by us in the same way.
(A visitor in 2017 said that the place and the house is exactly as it is stated on the photos - No more no less).


The indoor spaces of the house are 3 bedrooms, 1 living-room, the kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a hall.
In the hall there is the washing machine. In the kitchen there is the dish washer machine.

Basic, Extra and Additional Bathrobes, towels, linen, soaps, shampoo and pillows are also available all for free in the house for you and every guest. We also provide Beach towels for free for all.
In the summer, umbrellas and sunbeds usually are offered for free at beach-bars, if you order a drink or a coffee or a fresh juice or anything else.

Your indoor space is 120 sqm (bedrooms, bathrooms, living room and kitchen), the outdoor space is 90 sqm (verandas around) and the garden (600 sqm).

It is ideal for nature lovers, who like quiet and uninterrupted views around the horizon, the sea and the sky. In the nights you can see quietly the stars and the galaxy.
All rooms have uninterrupted views of stunning scenery and the skyline.


Villa Panorama consists of two different houses - whole floor houses - with separate entrances. The one (that you could rent) is the top one with large verandas and unique view around.

Panorama house is exceptionally located at the edge of the village Kournas with the best view.
So it is near the traditional taverns of the village and at the same time you have the feeling of living in the nature of the Cretan urban landscape in front of the Cretan sea (near the 11-km-long sandy beach of Georgioupolis - Kournas - Kavros - Dramia - Episkopi - Gerani beach), which is 7 minutes away, just 4 km distance.
On the other side the mountains of Leyka Ori seem to be fascinating.


During the hot summer you could go for swimming, walking, riding and then you could stay in the house and do not feel the very hot weather..... (as one visitor wrote in 2017 in his comments) ...... "at the hottest time of the day you could have a nice cool breeze on the veranda even at the heat of the day".

In July 2019 Alex and Anastasya lived here with their child, their parents and their relatives for a whole month having had a special offer. As they wrote at their 5-star gold review, "...Also there's a very nice terrace with fresh air (it helps a lot, when it's hot)." They also said "....that the long veranda around is in the shade all the day, which is not the case with many other houses where tents for shade are very small." Additionally, all the indoor space of Panorama House is full air-conditioned.



It is our family house and we have many nice moments there with our children and our friends. So as we care for the Panorama House and its facilities for us, in the same time we care for you as if it was for our family. So we wish you also have pleasant moments and vacation in our Panorama House.

The nicest moments for us are when we take some mattresses or bed mattresses out on the balcony-veranda and take a sleep outside (either during the midday or during the night) having a nice cool breeze from the mountain.
This is really a very relaxing experience feeling the nature.


One guest in 2018 wrote: We watch the eagles with the binoculars (of the house). They are riding the thermals so freely they are magnificent to watch.

Panorama House is our family vacation house, not always available for renting to guests as we also travel to Crete often or we accommodate personal friends. So it is available to guests from rental sites only some weeks per year (mainly half of the summer).

In the winter the general feeling is that you live between the horizon of the sea , the sky with the sun light between the clouds, the high mountains of Leyka Ori and the traditional village of Kournas.


From October until March the main characteristics of the weather are higher humidity, less hot, many visual changes of the sky (and the clouds) during the day (sometimes followed by some rain).
This makes magnificent views of the landscape.

We feel that all this vacation feeling is more pleasant if you live it from an open air light modern house with best view over the horizon and natural air all around, rather than staying in a big room of a hotel or resort using the air conditioning and the limited space and view of a hotel-room.

It is common natural situation that because of the humidity, the feeling and the sleeping is less pleasant in the areas beside the sea.
On the other hand sleeping and feeling (living ) becomes more pleasant if you are on a small hill just a little inside the land (5-7 klm).

As the house is about half way between Chania and Rethymo, it is very convenient for visiting both places all around.

We advertise our family Panorama house for 8 guests for better convenience for you.

There are beds for 9 people in the bedrooms. Two extra persons could sleep on the big new couch in the living room.
(this number does not include the children in baby cribs).
So our family house can accommodate families or groups of friends up to 11 guests.
Extra beds could be placed upon request (if necessary).

If you need any baby cribs and or baby high chair or baby stroller please write to us early to inform you about. They are provided for free.
Each bedroom is large and has free space so that you can move the baby cribs to any other room you wish to have them nearby you. (on the site we wrote that there is one baby crib in the common room, just to show you that there is a baby crib in the house.)
