Amazing West Lake Okoboji Home! Location, Location, Location!!!

This beautiful remodeled West Okoboji home is perfect for a family vacation or just a fun weekend getaway! You can enjoy views of beautiful West Lake Okoboji from every room of the house or enjoy them on the very large patio and deck! The house is located on Smiths bay of West Lake Okoboji and offers amazing sunset and sunrise views!! You are only steps away from the famous Arnolds Park Amusement park, the Central Emporium and all of the shopping and restaurant's the lakes area has to offer. From your private patio and deck you can watch the fireworks shooting over the lake or sip on a cocktail as the boaters, skiers and water boarders go by. Outside, you have a private dock and stairs that lead into a private swimming area. Sit in the sun, fish, or just hang out on the dock! This home was built with family in mind and can sleep up to 20-23 comfortably. The house is great for family vacations, reunions, or events!

The upstairs of the house has great lake views and 6 newly remodeled bedrooms and a brand new bathroom with dual vanity sinks! The living room or finished basement are perfect for games, movies or a round of cards. The main floor has a brand new kitchen with all new stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and stainless steal sink. The kitchen has a large center island for the family to gather around and the kitchen and dining room are an open concept layout. So the cook can view the lake and not have to worry about missing out on the fun and entertainment while they cook! There is also a fully furnished and finished basement with a bonus room and tv/game room for the kids!

The front yard also has a fire pit to sit around and tell stories or enjoy some smores! The property also has a gas grill for cookouts.

Also we recently added a water slide at the end of the dock for your enjoyment.

Nearby boat ramp for putting your boat in and out of the water or marina for boat rentals, jet skis or sailboats. Restaurants, amusement park, water park and public beaches are all close by.
This property is not on the canal or harbor but located directly on west okoboji.
**Note** The dock is usually put in the end of May and taken out mid October. If renting be aware of these dates if having a dock is important.

Host was great, directions for entering and exiting were easy and direct. Location for Winter Games were great! Could walk to lots of activities, restaurants and bars. Lots of bedrooms and beds and beautiful views.

Great house in a fantastic location. We stayed in January and ice fished on Smith's Bay. Was a little tricky getting fishing gear down to the ice, but we managed. House had plenty of room for us and I liked the radiant heat. Easy walking distance from good restaurants and gas station for supplies. Would definitely stay again. One word of caution: the toilets do not flush well and we dealt with pretty regular plunging.

The view outside was beautiful, good place for some great pictures. We enjoyed the fire pit. Inside several rooms have been updated, the kitchen, living area, dining area and bathroom. The kitchen was very well stocked, except could use some adult drinking glasses. The bedrooms could use some updating, pretty outdated, but we slept ok. The owner was very helpful

This is a great location. The common household supplies are very limited but that was communicated to us prior to arrival. The bedrooms are dated and the beds are not great but the location of the house makes up for everything.

The house had a great location, right on the water. The neighborhood was quiet (probably due to our early September stay). Check in process was easy and Shawn was very responsive to any questions I had. There was tons of room in the house for people to sleep. It’s an older house that’s (partially) renovated. Main floor was beautiful but the bedrooms could have been better - dirty walls and older doors that wouldn’t shut or lock. Everything was mostly clean apart from the main floor shower that looked to be needing a good scrub. The backyard had plenty of seating for our group around a cute fire pit and a comfy hammock. We had all the cookware we needed for meals, towels provided, paper products, and enough parking for at least 8 cars in the driveway! Was a nice stay with a big group on a budget.

We had such a nice stay! The location is just perfect! You can walk for coffee, restaurants, shopping, and bars. We spent most of our time enjoying the back deck, yard, dock, and boat hoist. It was the perfect location to enjoy the lake! The house is clean and updated. Our host was easy to contact. There are only 2 bathrooms (for 11 people), which was a challenge first thing in the morning, but it was not a huge deal! I would HIGHLY recommend this property!

This home was perfect for our extended family. It is so close to the amusement park, the Saturday night concerts in the park, restaurants, and other entertainment. We walked everywhere! The house is clean, updated, and had lots of bedrooms for everyone to be comfortable. The kids loved the bunkroom in the basement. The fenced in grass yard in the back near the lake was perfect for the young kids to play and for all of us to sit around the fire pit in the evening. We had a great two weeks staying here and hope to be back in the future.

Girls weekend

It's a beautiful place but was rather dirty. There were spiders and bugs. It seemed like it hadn't been cleaned good in a while. One of the bathroom sinks was plugged, a few light bulbs out, one of the toilets ran continuously, we couldn't get the TV to work at all. Arnolds Park is a fun place to visit and we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. This made it very convenient.
