Staff helpful early breakfast on last day. Room spacious. Good good bed. Shower nice except one day when little water. Secure place. Parking. Weaver birds nesting above the little cottage where my room was. They did not seem to be expecting us but sorted out so all well. Breakfast good and i ate al a carte in the evening and food ok. Arua is distant so good to be able to find a reasonable hotel to stay which met our needs. It is quite expensive for the best rooms
The hotel is very average, very slow on service.
On arrival, the lady cleaner really tried her best to help us but the bathroom/ toilet facilities were not working, leaking and after complaining about it we were moved to another facility. The bathroom area is hazardous due to lack of water mopping equipments after showering.
Grounds are beautiful and provide a lot of privacy for each bungalow. Rooms are basic but clean. Staff was very nice and accommodating and food was good. There were a couple groups there which took up the work spaces - this was the only issue.
This hotel has a very beautiful landscape. many type of plants, flower you can found in that hotel. In the morning when you wake up, you can hear the birds singing .
However its not really friendly for working space. However you still can hanging around, chat and discuss in swimming pool and restaurant areas.
Milly the team leader there is so nice, she is willing to help anytime you need. all the staff there is wonderful,
For Lizard lovers, you will enjoy to stay there
Booked on Expedia, made payment, received confirmation.... then the horror story started.
Firstly, we arrived at reception to sleepy reception staff who said âwe dont have your booking, we dont have any rooms, we are not online and we dont deal with Expediaâ!
Absolutely zero customer skills and 10 mins later a manager appears, who made phone calls etc , only to confirm the above.
I asked for a letter from them to confirm the same, which I had to type myself on their computer, then went about Arua trying to find two rooms for weary long distance travelers (found a dark dingy place in town on the third floor).
My two long distance calls to Expedia remain u resolved, and the payment has been taken from my account. I will pick up the matter seriously with Expedia upon my return to the UK soon.
A key lesson here was that you cannot take a booking for granted even when the property is on Expedia. We were told by the hotel management that the property posting on Expedia was fraudulent and they never signed up with Expedia. Wow! That was a real first. Hoping that Expedia can resolve the matter not only for me but on the matter of a property that is on their website but says it is not !
Travelers beware in general.
