Sarah greeted us when we arrived and was so lovely. She is a wonderful staff member! The house is lovely. Like all old houses, it has some eccentricities, but we dealt with them pretty well. Some things that were less enjoyable included the fact that the Wifi signal to Oak Terrace (our room) was abysmal. We were not able to reliably connect at all, and it also impacted our ability to watch Netflix. This was disappointing. Two other negatives included the fact that it was extraordinarily humid in the room. It just didn't seem to dry out after we showered, and we kept the bathroom vent running nonstop in attempt to do exactly that. Finally, the shower and toilet were on a step up, and the showerhead was difficult to reach due to the way the tub was placed in the area. If someone has mobility issues, this would not be a room I recommend, which is unfortunate given the fact that it is on the back of the house and has no steps going up to it. So as far as staffing goes, it is lovely. I think if they can address the moisture issue and get a reliable Wifi connection, it would be a much better experience.

Everything about the Beaufort house exceeded our expectations. The house was so well cared for and has a very authentic feel. You could feel the love and care that goes into maintaining this historic hotel. We felt very much at home. Miss Sarah was very welcoming and made our stay so pleasant. We hope to return someday. We have so much gratitude!

Believe it or not the toilet for our room was actually in the shower with only a curtain to keep the water from splashing. Had to step over a 8 inch threshold to get into the combined shower/toilet. Very dangerous at night. Breakfast was just an average continental breakfast.

Asheville getaway

We were there with friends from the UK on a little tour. Did not want a hotel experience and The Beaufort House fit the bill perfectly! The staff was always available, well informed in the goings on in town, Biltmore Estate and dining recommendations etc. This all made for a most enjoyable excursion to the Great Smokey mountains of N.C.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Beaufort Inn. The showers were great! We stayed in the cottages out back and enjoyed them. Room was clean and cozy. We appreciated the main house for breakfast, cookies, wine glasses and it's accomodations.
