The Veranda Log Cabin

Enjoy nature's beauty and cool mountain breezes in the authentic log cabin on 25 wooded acre's. Walk on the many trails that meander through the property some of which lead to the pond and creek. Listen to the relaxing sound of the creek or go for a swim in the spring fed pond. You can relax on the veranda which overlooks the property and is setup for 3 hammocks. Enjoy the fire pit while making smores. Cook your dinner on the gas grill on the large porch. Watch nature all around you, wild turkey's, fox, deer, and birds.
The cabin has been completely remodeled in the last couple years with new modern kitchen, hardwood floors, bathrooms, beds, couch, and flat screen TV.
Huge master suite upstairs with vaulted ceiling and ceiling fan, A/C, heart of pine floors, Queen pillow top bed, tub and shower.
Downstairs has a modern kitchen with all new appliances, bunk beds, Leather couch, 46' flat screen TV with DVD player and Spectrum fiber internet with Roku, 1/2 bath, ceiling fan, A/C and propane heat.
Get away from it all and still be only 20 minutes to downtown Hendersonville. Minutes from many area attractions like, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Apple Valley, Biltmore Mansion, Pisgah National Forest, Flat Rock Playhouse, Dupont Forest, and Asheville.
One bedroom, 1 and 1/2 bath, sleeps 4.

Weekend getaway

The cabin was very nice and well kept. There is another rental property directly to the side of cabin, only a few trees separate the two, so if you are going for privacy this might not be what you are looking for. We didn’t get to explore any of the property, it rained every day we were there, which is not a problem at all as we wanted a relaxing experience. Over all we loved our stay and will be back to this place in the future. The driveway is a bit steep so don’t be shy about going up it or you might not make it. Thanks for let us stay at your place, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Veranda

The accommodations were just fine. The cabin had everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the porch with the overhead ceiling fan. The bedroom was roomy and the bed very comfortable. Down the mountain a lot of rooster crowing and dog barking. Didn't bother me much 'cause I'm a country boy.

Great stay great cabin

My wife, dog, and I really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was comfortable and clean and located near a lot of biking and hiking trails. WI-FI didn’t really work but the tv had cable for down time in the evenings. Great place would stay again.

It is a very quiet place. You can hear all of the birds singing and the rain on the roof will put you to sleep. It is a nice cabin tucked in the woods. It has everything that you need for a comfortable stay. All you need to do is unpack your food and wine and settle in on the porch or the other deck across from the cabin. It’s a short drive to Brevard, Hendersonville and Asheville for attractions, wineries and local music events so you have great adventure options. Perfect place to settle your mind and to appreciate nature.

"Pet friendly?"

Overall, the cabin was clean and the property was ok. I thought there would be more places to walk around the property. I wouldn't say the place is actually pet friendly. Only found out once we were there that pets AREN'T allowed on furniture and a fee (no mention of how much) would be charged if hair was found. No mention on listing about this, after booking from the host, or in any of the check in instructions. Very disappointed would not have booked this cabin if I would had known about it.

Pet Friendly

The cabin was just what we needed. Love that it is pet-friendly to large dogs. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything we needed, plus lots of extras like hammocks, board games, a pond, DVDs, grill, a creek, etc. The location is great to venture in any direction in the mountains.

Smells. Its dirty. Bathrtooms and sinks were clean. Otherwise dirty. Pillows are old and stained. Dog hair everywhere. Blankets on bunkbeds had dirt and dog hair. Reached down to get something i had dropped near my luggage and grabbed someone's filthy sock.Under bed was filthy. More socks,dog hair and dirt. Hadnt been cleaned in months. Gross bear rug on top of stairs with half chewed face stunk up the whole bdrm. When i picked it up to put in closet it was disgusting. The "pond" is a retention pond in a trailers yard. There is another cabin 100 ft away. A camera directly pointed on porch,so no matter where you sit you are watched,even in the hammocks.The grill is gross. We didnt cook our steaks.All linens smelled like cigarettes and febreeze. Seriously avoid. My husband named it " The Filthy Bear " because it has a bunch of stuffed bears everywhere. Our first trip in 3 years . I could cry. We couldnt sleep the first night because of the smell. I took everything out to air out. I cant believe the good reviews. We really arent that picky either. Not 11 miles to asheville. No creek. Trailers and dogs barking. Other people work really hard to to havea rental prop. Give them your money. Not thse people. It was gross. Oh yeah there are big rusty cargo bins right next to picnic porch.so you can look at it while youre relaxing in hammock

The cabin was just so beautiful!! We enjoyed how secluded it was and the Christmas decorations were so cute! We will definitely be renting this cabin again!
