Itâs at the basement which didnât mention in the introduction. The whole apartment smells very bad like sewer. Especially in the bathroom. Mattress is worn out. Bumpy and squeaky. Overall itâs not clean. The location is convenient. Close to bus station. 2km walking distance to the city centre. I wouldnât recommend it to anyone .
The posting should've indicated it's in a basement. The pathway going down there doesn't feel pleasant...almost like going to a dungeon...the hallway is not well lit.
The door of the suite is solid and safe though.
I would not have booked a basement unit, as I personally hate it.
It's professionally clean. There's a kitchen to cook, a big fridge, even a washing machine which I didn't have time to use. Very spacious closet.
However, I think there's a sewage issue currently in the building, so the bathroom has a bit of smell from the pipe...
The bed is uncomforable & very squeaky noisy. When I move, almost feel like the frame beneath is going to break... Pillows are flat.
The good thing is closeness to the metro station, 3 min. walk and very close to bus stop.
If you don't mind the basement and want a kitchen, this property has economic price.
Avoid this place if you can. I booked this as a last minute solution, and I regret it. The flat itself is a very basic holiday let. Nothing special. The ad fails to mention that it is a damp basement flat, reached by walking through a horror-movie maze of hallways. The apartment itself is very plain and neutral, furnished with a bed and a sofa, both of which sound and feel like they are about to collapse. You have one window, overlooking the most depressing courtyard youâll have ever seen. So youâll have no view and only minimum daylight. The positives are that the window has a metal shutter, and the front door seems very solid and secure. The proximity to Megaro Mousikis Metro station makes it very central and convenient for getting to and from the airport.
I arrived to a flat that wasnât really clean. The bed was OK, but the floors in all rooms were covered in long hairs. Long hairs on the furniture, long hairs in the sink. I complained about this, and the landlord/agent offered to send a cleaner. When I returned later that day, there were still lots of hairs on the floors. Thereâs a drain-smell emanating from the bathroom, and mould on the bathroom walls. Everything just seems a bit grubby and run-down, and like it needs a good update. Give the walls a fresh coat of paint, fix the leaking faucets, tighten the screws in the furniture, deep-clean the corners, and buy a hairnet for the cleaning lady. I checked out a day early and I will not be returning.
