Travel back in time to a glammed-up college rental inspired by UCM Center's founding in 1969. If you are looking for a fun and funky throwback comfortable experience in Uptown Athens just one block away from Court Street, this three-story walk-up attic apartment is perfect for you. Our attic apartment includes an open living room, dining area, and kitchen space to enjoy. The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking full meals or reheating leftovers from your favorite Athens eateries. Enter the space via the outdoor 3 story steps into an office area with a bonus twin bed. The apartment has a tight, practical, fully stocked bathroom with shower, vanity, and toilet. Two private bedrooms offer a comfortable and quiet place to rest during your stay. The first bedroom has a queen bed and the second one has a double bed. The stay offers 2 free onsite parking spaces with nearby paid parking options for an additional car. Note: UCM is a nonprofit not affiliated with the nearby university. Note: There are cameras on the exterior of the building, facing each of the non-apartment entrances, as well as one facing the parking lot. There are no cameras facing the apartment door itself, or inside the building.

The location was great, unfortunately the place was so filthy we were not able to enjoy the stay and do not recommend. Tried to communicate with the owner and they offered zero assistance to remedy our issues. It wasn’t until I contacted Vrbo directly that the owner responded with a small refund.

Location was the absolute best. A block from court, on frat row, and walkable to anywhere you want to go! We had to push our stay back a day and host was very accommodating and prompt with making it work for us. The attic apartment had everything we required with the charm of Athens & the vibe of OU. However, I’m sorry to say, there’s a scent that permeated even the pillows and was inescapable. I’m very familiar with the “old house” smell, having lived several years renting in Nelsonville & Athens. The smell was beyond anything nostalgic. A thorough cleaning would definitely help and was needed. My recommendation to renters would be to buy (which we did) room air fresheners, bring your own sponge for the dishes (the ones provided were old & dirty) and fresh linens/pillows (the linens on the bed were clean but needed refreshed as they had taken on the scent of the apartment). The cleanliness and smell were disappointing because otherwise, this would’ve been the perfect rental.

The location of this apartment is great. One street over from court street. The apartment is on the 3rd floor so be ready to climb a lot of stairs. Which is nothing new if you’re familiar with the hills of Athens. The apartment was clean, well stocked with basic necessities. Recommend for anyone that wants to spend a weekend uptown in Athens.

Perfect Location

I was visiting my daughter in college and it was the perfect location. I could walk to her residence hall and to all the restaurants around campus. Locating the property was easy and the instructions to enter the property were clear and effective. It was nice to have a parking spot too. The accommodations were clean and comfortable.
