Travel back in time to a glammed-up college rental inspired by UCM Center's founding in 1969. If you are looking for a fun and funky throwback comfortable experience in Uptown Athens just one block away from Court Street, this three-story walk-up attic apartment is perfect for you. Our attic apartment includes an open living room, dining area, and kitchen space to enjoy. The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking full meals or reheating leftovers from your favorite Athens eateries. Enter the space via the outdoor 3 story steps into an office area with a bonus twin bed. The apartment has a tight, practical, fully stocked bathroom with shower, vanity, and toilet. Two private bedrooms offer a comfortable and quite place to rest during your stay. The first bedroom has a queen bed and the second one has a double bed. The stay offers 2 free onsite parking spaces with nearby paid parking options for an additional car. Note: UCM is a nonprofit not affiliated with the nearby university. Note: There are cameras on the exterior of the building, facing each of the non-apartment entrances, as well as one facing the parking lot. There are no cameras facing the apartment door itself, or inside the building.

The location of this apartment is great. One street over from court street. The apartment is on the 3rd floor so be ready to climb a lot of stairs. Which is nothing new if you’re familiar with the hills of Athens. The apartment was clean, well stocked with basic necessities. Recommend for anyone that wants to spend a weekend uptown in Athens.

Perfect Location

I was visiting my daughter in college and it was the perfect location. I could walk to her residence hall and to all the restaurants around campus. Locating the property was easy and the instructions to enter the property were clear and effective. It was nice to have a parking spot too. The accommodations were clean and comfortable.

We had a great stay. The apartment was full of character, and filled with amenities. It was clean and welcoming. A lot of thought was put into the needs of a traveller and we really appreciated it. It was conveniently located very close to Court Street and College Green. The road was mostly quiet. Parking was an extra bonus. I can't recommend this apartment enough.

The unit is a bit eclectic and could use updated if you wanted to spend more time there. However, it was exactly as they described, had everything you need (including coffee) and is a perfect location (one block from Court Street). We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy quarters and great location!

We enjoyed our stay at the Athenian Apartment in downtown Athens. It was a perfect location for visiting our daughter at OU and enjoying all the festivities in and around campus (football game, Halloween Parade, etc.). We were nervous it may be loud given the proximity to the festivities but we were pleasantly surprised how quiet and peaceful the unit was. The separate living area and kitchen is a great convivence when compared to our normal hotel stays. We were also pleasantly surprised to learn this unit is run by a non-profit and proceeds go to support really great community causes. We'll be back!

Homecoming Stay

Great space! Very clean, nicely decorated. Comfortable beds and couches. We were there for OU Homecoming. Parked the cars and walked around town and campus the whole weekend due to the perfect location. Maybe the only (slight) negatives would be the shower is a bit small (but doable!); and the climb to the top floor may not be for everyone. This apartment is a great option for anyone visiting Athens and Ohio U!

I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Athens. I recently rented this place for a reunion with two former James Hall dormmates, and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. The place was exceptionally clean, with great attention to detail in all the amenities. The check-in instructions were clear and made settling in a breeze. The location was awesome & the retro vibe brought back a lot of great memories for all of us.
