This property was on the very edge of midtown, closer to downtown than I wouldâve liked. It was very nice knowing the owner was willing to set the alarm but I wouldâve preferred to be able to control it myself allowing for longer hours of security. I had to pick set hours to arm and disarm and then let the owner know if I wanted to disarm otherwise which made me feel like I needed to pick a small window of hours so as not to be a nuisance if we forgot something in the car. Everything was clean, the host communicated when needed and everything was just ok. The bedrooms were bare bones- bed and bedside table(s), nowhere to really unpack items, thin bed linens and not very comfortable mattresses, no TVs or fans available for 2 downstairs rooms. The living area furniture was not comfortable for lounging but was fine. Iâve stayed in several short term rentals that range in feeling from âthis is strictly an income propertyâ to âwe want our guests to have the most amazing stayâ and this was an income property. Iâm glad we only stayed 2 nights.
