Awful customer service. I called the hotel about an hour and a half before check-in to see if early check-in was possible. The employee I spoke with was extremely off-putting, giving me a dismissive “you’ll just have to come in” and saying they wouldn’t know if my room was ready. When I arrived, there was an issue with the key card system, and I had to be escorted to my room, where I then waited another 45 minutes before finally receiving my room key. The valet service on my first night was also disappointing. The valet wore AirPods, did not greet me with a “Good morning” or any acknowledgment, and instead had the audacity to ask me for a tip. I had arrived the evening before and did not have cash on me, planning to tip upon my return. Regardless, asking guests outright for a tip is tacky, inappropriate, and unprofessional in the service industry. Upon checkout, the poor customer service continued. Three staff members at the front desk stood around chatting about non-work-related topics, and not one asked if I enjoyed my stay or offered a bottle of water to go. I was told my receipt would be emailed, but I never received it and had to call days later. Again, I was met with poor service—no one introduced themselves or offered a simple apology for the missing receipt. Overall, this property lacks basic hospitality standards and customer service training. I would not recommend staying here.

The Kimpton Shane was such a beautiful hotel. The lobby immediately makes you feel enveloped in upscale comfort and the staff is kind and helpful. The room was simple, but beautiful and we LOVED the true mini bar which made us feel like we were on an episode of Mad Men in the best way!

The valet is like NO OTHER!! They greeted me, my daughter and niece every time we came or left!! Gentleman opening the doors and it seems like they were keeping an eye out for us. As a Black woman I felt they seen us and made sure we felt it. They do an amazing job at this hotel. The location is fantastic. The entrance to the hotel is on a side street which makes drop off and pick up easy. The Marta is SO close! And tons of food in walkable area. We arrived to fresh fruit water, and happy hour with wine welcome. The room was clean, provided a steamer, robes, and even a yoga mat for purchase. The shower water pressure and temp is incredible! And every day someone personally sent a text to just check to see if we needed anything. No reply was required so was easy to ignore but I did use the service twice! They were so helpful and quick to respond. The gym was great too. We will use them again.

I really enjoyed this hotel. The staff were extremely nice and professional, and it was in a great area. There a Whole Foods, a Starbucks, and a lot of other places within walking distance. The room was clean and exceeded my expectations. The lobby is also very nice and has a nice seating area. The restaurant was good. I only had breakfast and the service was great. The pancakes were nice and fluffy and the grits were creamy.
