This was the third or fourth time we have stayed in this apartment. We love it! It is cozy and comfortable and clean. We love the rooftop balcony! The host is very helpful and kind. We'll be back!
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Paola. It was our second visit and we will come again! Paola is very helpful and communicative and we love the apartment. Thank you for everything!
A modern, well-designed and comfortably compact apartment in a great location!
We had a fabulous 4-night stay in Artri in Paola's apartment. We loved the quiet location and being only a couple of minutes walk to the town centre, cafes and market area (on Mondays).
The apartment is very fresh, modern and all spaces have been well designed. Compact stairs connect the 3 levels (tight headroom) - the top level is a delightful, private little terrace with superb distant mountain views, perfect for breakfast, lunch or evening aperativo.
The main bedroom is super comfortable and with lovely features. We used the sitting room as a second bedroom with its sofa bed - a great option for kids or someone not concerned with it being less private as there is no door.
The eat-in kitchen has a beautiful brick-vaulted ceiling, full cooking facilities and a washing machine. Parking close by is limited in the narrow cobbled streets (very challenging to drive through), however larger and easier parking is only a few minutes walk away.
We were very grateful for Paola accommodating a late check-in and for her father being so helpful!
We thoroughly recommend at least a few nights stay in Paola's apartment and to explore the town and region.
Very quaint, unusual house in the medieval town of Atri. Wonderful vaulted ceiling in the new kitchen/dining area. Staircase leading to first floor (mind your head) which opens out to a hallway with a good sized double bedroom to the right and a bathroom on the left, with a lounge area a little beyond that. The lounge has another access door to a different street level. Back into the hallway and you will find another staircase to a terrace. Very clean and definitely loved. Lots of nice touches by the host, Paola, which made for a comfortable three night stay over the first weekend in December 2021. I was alone but this would be excellent accommodation for a couple. The complimentary coffee, water, biscuits, cakes, jams were excellent as were the toiletries supplied. Felt instantly like home. Although I chose to eat out, the kitchen was equipped well enough to satisfy any self-catering needs. The communication from Paola was superb and she took the time to go through the amenities. All in all a really excellent experience.
Paola and her father were very accommodating and when my partner needed an extra pillow it was swiftly supplied. There was a thoughtful supply of water, coffee, tea and biscuits on arrival. Plus a gift of the local sweets. The house is located a short walk from all the amenities of restaurants and shops. Atri is a lovely town to base yourself in to explore the Abruzzo area, it also holds a busy market Monday morning. The house is compact with a small roof terrace to dry clothes, though there is no washing machine this could be useful after a trip to the beach. We stayed in early November and appreciated the efficient gas heating. If you are arriving by car the house is located in a narrow street of the old town, while characterful it does pose a problem for parking.
