Good location in city center and my stay included breakfast. The room was nice and clean. The only draw back is that parking was not included but it seems no hotels in downtown Auckland include parking, it was an additional $30 which was better and other places.

When we booked the hotel we made sure there was 2 Queen beds and a sofa bed as there was 3 people staying. The first night after check in and getting back to the hotel we realised the sofa did not fold out into a bed. We alerted the 24/7 check in desk and they were quick to resolve the issue in the middle of the night. Overall it’s a nice hotel, it’s quiet, not too far of a walk from the sky tower and other attractions. The hotel had its own private car park, gym, smoke room and restaurant. Everything was clean and tidy. For a budget friendly stay I recommend Auckland City Hotel

I really appreciated that my room was ready early, which made check-in super convenient after a long journey. The hotel is in a fantastic location, walking distance to many sights, shops, and restaurants. The SkyBus to the airport was only a 5-minute walk away, which was a big plus. I do wish there had been drinking water available in the room, but they did have some available in the bar area. Overall, a great stay in a very walkable area!

We arrived on a Sunday evening and the restaurant and bar were closed, which isn’t mentioned anywhere. The staff on the desk wasn’t forthcoming with any suggestions. Which meant going out in the dark to search out some food.

Many food options nr by. Across the road is City Mission. They care for and feed, every day, the too many homeless people of Auckland. Majority are men. Loved my stay.
