We had a fantastic time here! A really cozy cottage with everything we needed. It also had stunning views overlooking one of the bays in Waiheke - the deck was the perfect morning coffee spot! Richard was a fantastic host and our check-in process very smooth. We'll be back!
The Black Bach is a fantastic little property in a beautiful and peaceful location with amazing views. We enjoyed 3 nights here and could happily have stayed much longer. The house was exceptionally clean and the decor is lovely. We found the house to be well equipped and very well thought out for a small space. We really appreciated the covered deck and spent a lot of time out there - the outdoor heater was a nice touch and enabled outdoor dining in the evening. Richard very kindly dropped off a welcome bottle of Waiheke wine and the whole booking/ checking in process was very smooth. We didnât have a car for this trip which was fine for us as we like walking around the island, but for anyone with mobility issues, walking to the village or bus stop could be a problem. Also, the bedrooms are very light early in the morning so if you are used to blackout blinds your dreams of a long sleep in might be dashed! On the other hand, sitting in bed with a coffee and the windows to the deck open is the perfect start to the day at any time. Would love to stay here again.
