White Sands Cottage at Palm Beach is a beautifully presented and fully restored 1950s weatherboard bach located just 50 metres from the white sands of Palm Beach. With 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom this is a perfect family cottage and comfortably sleeps 4 guests.
The house was saved from demolition by the new owners who have lovingly restored the property over the past few years. The interior is tastefully decorated, clean and modern with sparkling tiled floors and new carpet in the bedrooms.
The exterior offers plenty of space to relax in the sun or escape to the shade with a covered area offering protection from the elements.
The large fenced garden wraps around the house offering a safe play area for young children. There is a concrete pad available for boat parking and off street parking for up to 2 cars.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking utensils, crockery, glass ware and cutlery required for family meal-time. There is a gas hob, full sized oven and dishwasher. In the laundry cupboard is a washer and dryer. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided and our welcome pack includes a selection of luxury teas and coffees to get your started.
Outside is a large entertaining deck with a gorgeous lounge area and large dining table, perfect for Al Fresco meals both gas and charcoal BBQs are available, giving you all the options needed to cook up a storm.
The master bedroom has an adjoining covered deck perfect if you need some peace and quiet or to escape the sun. The room is spacious, with a luxurious king sized bed and a small desk area setup if you need to use your laptop.
The second bedroom is a good double sized room and has a split king bed which can be made up as a double or into two single beds offering additional flexibility for groups.
The bathroom is clean and modern with a large shower and plenty of space to get ready for a night out.
For groceries there is a superb little convenience store just a few minutes stroll along the beach as well as the lovely Arcadia restaurant and bar. Countdown supermarket and a selection of other specialty food shops, bars, cafes and restaurants are dotted around the island and are all just minutes away by car. The area is well served by the local bus service with the main Palm Beach bus stop just 100 metres away.
Palm Beach is one of the best swimming beaches in Auckland, with white sands, palm trees and crystal clear waters giving the area the feeling of a tropical resort. There is a fantastic childrens play area with climbing frames, swings and roundabouts. There are also two public BBQ areas available to use free of charge.
White Sands Cottage is a real gem on Waiheke offering old-school kiwi charm finished with luxury touches that make this a wonderful, safe and comfortable place to enjoy a beach holiday.
