Our ABI Ashcroft is located at Aviemore Holiday Park, a 10 min walk from the train station and the centre of Aviemore which is a busy thriving community, there is an onsite restaurant/bar and the site is only a 5 min walk to the nearest Italian restaurant ,Indian restaurants and chip shop.

Accomodation

The accommodation comprises a comfortable open plan kitchen/dining /lounge with French doors out to the decking area, lounge area has large L shaped sofa ample seating for 6 also with a 32" flat screen TV, freesat box and a DVD player, the lounge also incorporates a wall mounted electric heater with living flame option for that cozy glow even when fire not required to be on. Dining area has table and seats for 4. The well appointed kitchen has a gas cooker with hob, oven and separate grill, integrated microwave and integrated fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery and pots, pans, glasses and utensils, everything that you will need to make meals for all your family needs.

Sleeps 4, There are 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom includes a king size bed, has large wardrobe and shelf space, ample drawer space, above headboard storage, dressing table with stool mirror and an en-suite. The second bedroom has twin beds, wardrobe, under bed storage and above headboard storage. There is also a double lift out sofa bed in the lounge.

Location

Aviemore Holiday Park is based closed to the city centre and offers access to all local services and amenities including restaurants, hotel, post office, bus transport, train station, fishing, bike hire, golf, tennis and bowls. There is also a great convenience store not too far from the site. The famous river Spey runs through the site and reasonably priced fishing permits are available from reception.

There is a coin operated washing machine and drier on site also a beauty and therapy salon beside the reception.

The area is great for lovers of the great outdoors. Walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and fishermen will be impressed by the spectacular scenery. Golfers are spoilt for choice here. Aviemore hosted a very highly rated golf course, and there are several others in the vicinity.

The tourist centre of the Highlands, Aviemore is also the main area for winter sports, hillwalking and climbing, watersports and outdoor sports of all kinds are catered for. Perfect for our minibreak

We had a lovely stay here, a three-night mini break for me and my two boys (6 and 11). It’s a lovely, peaceful holiday park which makes you feel away from it all and yet Aviemore is right around the corner and you’re only 5 minutes from Rothiemurcus and 10 minutes from Loch Morlich. The main bedroom is really spacious with lots of storage and a handy en-suite WC, and while the second bedroom is small it’s perfect for kids. The shower room is petite but all you need, and the kitchen was sufficient for prepping breakfasts and picnics but you could easily cook evening meals too. The lounge area is large with a roomy sofa, so plenty space to relax, and the decked balcony was great for eating outside in the gorgeous weather we had. The cabin did get quite warm at night and very hot during the day (highs were 25C) but drawing the curtains before we left for outings helped and it soon cooled down after opening all the windows and doors. There isn’t WiFi, but you can pay to connect to the park’s offering at 2.50 a day if needed. Finally, Ian was a super host, really communicative and helpful - thank you!

Highland break

Thoroughly enjoyed the location of highland break.The holiday park is within walking distance to all amenities. The Chalet was gold standard in all aspects.Very spacious and comfortable. Really impressed with king size bedroom that was spaciuos and well equiped with plenty of wardrobe space.

Property was as described and exactly what we were looking for. Communication from host was excellent. Unfortunately we were advised to evacuate from the site due to severe flooding in the area so only stayed for one night but Ian kept in touch with us throughout, passing on all info/ weather updates required. We would book the property again.

Perfect location

This chalet is in a perfect location to explore Aviemore and the surrounding area. The chalet was spotless and very well equipped. It’s much bigger than we were expecting. The site is very peaceful and within walking distance of shops, restaurants and a fantastic pub. Highly recommended!

Perfect location

Wonderful short weekend break at the property to round off our Scotland road trip. Property well equipped, warm and cosy although weather was generally good. Location is so peaceful and feels rural while having all Aviemore has to offer just a short walk away and the excellent Old Bridge Inn on the doorstep. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and only wished it was for a few more days.
