Beautiful, classy, and comfortable

This beautiful place is in a wonderful location, beautifully decorated, and so clean and comforting. Stephan, the owner takes great pride in this home and made sure I had everything I wanted and needed. He was so gracious to pick me up at the train station at the beginning of my stay, and bring me back at the end of it. I would definitely recommend his home to everyone! You will not be disappointed.

Outstanding, unique Home and warmest host ever

A unique home, romantic, warm, and a fabulous experience. Comfortable and very generous amenities, from champagne, great coffee to a great recommendation for a restaurant that was reserved by our host. We had free parking at the private Villa of our host, Stephan. Stephan is a writer and very knowledgeable, always available and enthusiastic to help. He definitely made our stay special! We intend to stay an extra day.

Provence Luxury at its finest!

Stephan was an amazing host who pulled out all the stops to provide a 5 star resort experience in a beautiful apartment in the heart of Avignon. The streets are VERY tight so we parked at Stephans residence and he drove us to the apartment. This added about 30 minutes to our check in process, but we were so glad considering the road situation. The apartment is well appointed with no detail missed. A small washing machine was perfect for a mid-trip refresh. Phone chargers were a nice touch so we didn't have to pull ours out. Champagne, cognac, and chocolates were also provided, which helped take the experience over the top. Stephan was extremely responsive on WhatsApp and was great at providing recommendations for local fare and things to do. He even made our dinner reservations so we didn't have to worry about it. I would highly recommend Les Anges and will definitely be back to stay here in an amazing little city that we fell in love with in just two short days!

Sublime appartement, accueil exceptionnel, hors-norme

Nous n’avons passé qu’une nuit au Anges 1, mais nous aurions pu y passer une semaine. La décoration est sublime, luxueuse, généreuse, et tout y est pensé et équipé pour le plus grand confort. Stephan, le propriéataire, accueille lui-même les visiteurs : il est écrivain et a écrit un beau livre sur Avignon, en vente sur place. Sa connaissance de la ville a transformé notre séjour en découverte de rêve. Grace à lui, nous avons pu déguster un magnifique chocolat chaud à l’Hôtel de la Mirande, à deux pas, et nous avons pu y prendre un petit déjeuner de rêve. Stephan garde des plans de la ville et les personnalise pour ses invités, ce qui facilite la circulation dans la vieille ville. Avignon est une petite ville, et tout est à moins de dix minutes à pied. C’est une expérience hors norme recommandée à tous.

Exceptional - best private stay ever!

We recently stayed at Stephan's apartment in Avignon and could not have enjoyed our stay more. The location was superb and everything we needed was only a short 5-10 minute walk away. The apartment was beautifully appointed and exceeded our expectations in terms of amenities- laundry, Nespresso machine with a fully stocked supply of pods, VSOP cognac, functional kitchen and bathroom and comfortable bed. Stephan was extremely responsive and helpful as a host, not to mention incredibly knowledgable about the area, history and local food and wine scene. He picked us up from the train station and dropped us off on our return. He proactively provided suggestions for restaurants and activities as we planned a short day trip to Chateauneuf du Pape and kindly drove us to the train station to pick up our rental car. We can't say enough good things about our time in Avignon thanks to the amazing stay we had at this property. We are already planning a return trip and will recommend this to any family or friends thinking about visiting Avignon.

J'ai passé un excellent séjour aux anges 1 : Accueil et instruction parfaitement clair ( Stephan peut vous récupérer et vous emmener à la gare sans problème ou bien un taxi dont il a contact peut vous le faire sans frais) Logement encore plus beau que les photos, machine à expresso avec dosette a profusion ,friandise a volonté et même a disposition du cognac et du pastis ! A recommander fortement si vous êtes de passage à Avignon! Merci encore Stephan et au plaisir d'un prochain séjour ! Je reviendrais très vite!

A magical stay ! Les Anges 2

My stay was more magical and memorable than I could have imagined. The studio itself is perfectly located on a picturesque cobble stone residential street, a short, easy walk to all that Avignon has to offer including the Palais des Papes (a must visit), sites, museums, shows and the varied exquisite dining and shopping. The home is large, spacious, bright, warmly welcoming, meticulously decorated and exuding charm - exposed beams, high ceilings, beautiful marble floors and modern amenities abound (including a great coffee machine with delicious coffee and teas). Stephan could not have been more accommodating from picking me up at the train station, to chilled rosé in the fridge and lots of chocolate and minted sweets. He has a wealth of information that you cannot get from travel books… and he drove me back to the TGV station after my few days there… I will definitely come again soon and will recommend Les Anges 2! Stephan est un excellent hôte et offrira des transferts personnels de luxe à l'aéroport qui suppriment beaucoup de tracas et valent le coût supplémentaire (réduit). Beautiful Apartment / Great Location

This was the first non-hotel experience for my wife and me. Stephan picked us up at the free parking located outside the city wall. Seemed strange at first, but very convenient. The apartment was clean and well-furnished, including several nice touches (candy jar, chilled bottle of champagne at check-in). The location facilitates a short walk to everything you'd want to do in Avignon, and a short walk to the parking lot when you go on the many day trips available in close proximity. Stephan is there to help with everything from travel suggestions to dinner reservations, and when he did it was like we were talking with an old friend. I really could not be more enthusiastic with this recommendation.

My husband and I spent New Year's Eve in Avignon, a city we had never visited previously. Our stay was more magical and memorable than we could have imagined given the perfect accommodations at Les Anges 2 and the warm welcome and valuable guidance we received by its charming owner, Stephan. The studio itself is perfectly situated on a picturesque cobble stone residential street, a short, easy walk to all that Avignon has to offer including the Palais des Papes (a must visit), the opera house and the varied exquisite dining and shopping. The studio is warmly welcoming, meticulously decorated and exuding charm - exposed beams, high ceilings, beautiful marble floors and modern amenities abound (including a great coffee machine with delicious coffee and teas). Stephan could not have been more accommodating from picking us up at the train station, to chilled champagne in the fridge with chocolates. He has a wealth of information that you cannot get from travel books and this made our visit particularly exquisite especially the operetta he recommended and tickets he obtained for us. We were very lucky to learn that he also offers a service to the airport (in our case Marseille) in the comfort of his elegant car and his company. The perfect end to a most memorable 4 days. Thank you Stephan! I would give you you a 5+ review if I could.

oUTSTANDING

This is a spacious studio apt., with modern conveniences and the Old World charm making it aesthetically very pleasing and quite comfortable. It is very quiet and the location cannot be better: within a few minutes’ walk one finds most of what Avignon offers in history and culture. Shopping is easy, supermarket a few minutes away and visitors just must visit the Avignon Les Halles for its fruits, vegetables, and other food-staff (closed Mondays). The apt. if fully supplied with the necessities to make a vacation rental most comfortable. Stephan is a wonderful host, helpful, responsive, full of practical suggestions what to see, where to go, tailored to individual needs and interests. We had delightful conversations with Stephan on a variety of topics and fully enjoyed them. We will highly recommend this place to others who plan to visit Avignon.

We had a marvelous week in Autour des Anges! Beautiful and immaculate apartment with every convenience we could wish for, even the best coffee maker! We loved Avignon, and Nela and Stephan gave us a wonderful orientation to the city plus a notebook with favorite restaurants, etc. Our stay was enriched by their knowledge and love of the the area, and we plan on returning sometime soon to stay We'd recommend it to everyone!

Amazing stay in Avignon with a fantastic host

The property has everything a guest needs for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable and a nice sitting area for two. The kitchen was well stocked with a wonderful coffee machine and fresh beans to start the day off right. Large windows that open to let in a lot of light and fresh air. The overall decor has a romantic French vibe and puts you in the mood to explore the walled city. 10 out of 10!

Beautiful Suite in Avignon Center

My wife and I traveled to Avignon from our home in Lyon for three nights to celebrate a milestone birthday for her and to get a change of scenery. Avignon is a beautiful place and even though only the shops were open, we had a nice time walking around. What made the trip special was the amazing suite, Anges 1, and the owner, Stephan. The suite is beautifully appointed, nicely designed, and a very comfortable place to stay. We loved it - cooked a few meals there (restaurants were closed) and slept well. Stephan picked us up at the TGV station (and reuturned us when we departed) and provided us with information for our stay. He was warm and welcoming, and has a range of interests matching many of ours. I highly receommend his properties in Avignon!

To all who are considering this I property, I want you to know that in all the years we have been traveling around the world, we have never been welcomed so graciously, never been hosted so considerately, never enjoyed a property more than this one. We could go on with superlatives and tell you the location was extraordinary, the communication and care from Stephan were beyond anything we have previously experienced, but the joy we experienced because of Stephan made our stay in Avignon the most meaningful of our travels throughout France. Our first day Stephan sat with us over tea and guided our itinerary with each day a follow up communication insuring that all was going well. What could could we ask from our stay? Not a single thing! It was perfect.

One of the nicest, most comfortable places we have stayed in. Stephan was extremely accommodating and went over and above to make sure our stay was fabulous. You are missing out if you do not stay here!
