Large Home - A Wave From It All - Best of Avila - 5 Bdrm - sleeps 12

Nestled against the mountain side in downtown Avila Beach, this custom designed home has ample space for multi-generational family gatherings. The home's unique floor plan design offers families flexible sleeping accommodations.

The home has an open great room floor plan. The great room has cathedral ceilings, wood cased windows, Shaker style cabinetry, Viking appliances, Quartzite slab counters, European Oak floors. The open living room, kitchen, and dining areas are on the second level. Sliding glass doors just off the kitchen open to front and rear dining and entertaining decks for fresh ocean breeze and panoramic mountain views. There is a third upper deck nestled among big oak trees that has picturesque harbor views. The home has several outdoor entertaining decks to host group gatherings, take in evening sunsets, BBQ taste morsels and relax after a day at the beach, riding or walking the Bob Jones trail, or wine tasting at our local Avila Beach tasting rooms.

The home has two master suites, three additional bedrooms for a total of 5 private sleeping areas, and a sleeper sofa (queen) in the living room. At ground level there is a master suite. This master suite is a studio suite just off the entry with a separate private side entry door, mini-kitchenette and full walk-in shower. The studio master suite has a king bed. The second and third bedrooms, also at ground level, both have queen beds. Up a flight of stairs to the second master suite and another small fifth bedroom. The second master suite (king bed) has a large walk-in shower and separate soaking bath tub. The fifth bedroom has a sleeper sofa (full), and ready for the kids to hook up their xBox.

The home is professionally landscaped. The outdoor decks are tucked into the hillside under 100 year old oak trees. There is an outdoor shower to wash away sandy feet and beach toys. There is an oversized garage with room for bike, kayak, surf board storage, plus additional auto parking in the driveway. The home has a full laundry center.

It doesn't get any better than having a single family home two short blocks to the best beach on the Central Coast!

Parking: Roomy two car garage, plus two autos in the driveway. There is a 50amp outlet located in the garage for EV charging. Owner to bring their own charging connector and cable.

Well appointed property (although only salt & pepper for spices). Manager quick to respond to window that wouldn't close. Walkable to the beach and "downtown" and close to Pismo and San Luis Obispo. Great tide pooling at low tide.

Lovely spacious house by the beach

Overall our stay was excellent. The space is perfect for a group. Our only comment is that we received very little information about house rules (eg whether or not to take out trash and recycling, what to do with used sheets and towels). Also we did not receive any information about WiFi and couldn’t find anything in the house with instructions.

Excellent house!

This house was spacious, welcoming, and had everything we needed for our family trip to Avila. I really appreciated the attention to detail in this house, such as blackout blinds in every room. We had a great time and would recommend this rental to others.

Wonderful stay in Avila!

This is a beautiful, spacious home in a great location in Avila. Highly recommend for any visit to the central coast. It's just across the street from the Bob Jones trail for morning jogs and walking distance to the Avila Golf Course. Walk to the beach and downtown Avila in 5-10min. The house itself was exceedingly clean and well-equipped. Property managers were very responsive when we had a problem with the wifi working. The sitting area upstairs works very well for an office space if you're doing a "workcation." Highly recommend- we loved this rental!

The most amazing house and location!!

We were a family of 6 adults (Grandparents + siblings & spouses) + 2 kids (1.5 and 2.5 years old) and had the most amazing family vacation! First, cannot say enough about the cleanliness and perfect location of the house. The place was immaculate when we walked in the door. The walk to the beach and boardwalk was SO close - you can imagine, lugging beach chairs, coolers, tents, and towels (all of which were provided by the house) + 2 toddlers... you need it to be easy and quick. And it definitely was. It was so nice that the house was fully stocked with beach gear. Second, what is really great about the house being such easy walking distance from everything is anyone in the group can easily come and go and you don't have to coordinate everyone doing everything together at the same time. We only have a few minor suggestions - but none of which were enough to affect my overall 5 star rating. 1.) the kitchen and family room are on the second floor of the house (ground level is bedrooms) - i had done enough picture research ahead of time to know we'd need to bring a baby gate for the stairs. Had we not, it would've been really hard with the layout and young kids. Could consider stocking the house with one? 2.) agree with a previous review that the family room could fit a bigger sectional couch / more seating; considering how big the house is.. you'll always have big groups of ppl staying here. 3.) we were pleasantly surprised at the number of pack and plays, high chairs and booster chairs that were stocked at the house - it wasn't super clearly stated so we brought a lot of that ourselves. Overall, we absolutely loved the house and look forward to this being a repeat rental for an annual family vacation! Kids had a great time at Avila Valley Barn, SLO Creek Farms and Central Coast Aquarium. Adults had a great time enjoying drinks at Landing Passage and Libertine Brewing Company. And everyone had a great time at the beach, plus walking the Bob Jones Trail!!! Highly highly recommend both this house and also Avila Beach for your next vacation!

wonderful location, great for families

Cozy home, was great for a family get-together. Clean, kitchen well-equipped for cooking. We really liked the layout of the house, nice sun deck in the front and also another in the back, allowed people to be together but also to have some separate space to relax. Great location for beach - easy walk, making the house an ideal base. Host provided a nice stock of large beach towels and also beach accessories (in the garage).

Wonderful beach accommodations!

We enjoyed this home so much and look forward to going back for another visit. One of the cleanest, nicest rentals we’ve ever had the pleasure to enjoy! The kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms were excellently appointed and easily accommodated our group of 11 people. Everyone we spoke with at the property management company was quick to respond and helpful in answering our questions. We couldn’t have asked for a better Thanksgiving holiday together as a family.
