All went smoothly. We experienced a minor maintenance issue with one of the burners on the oven- the management was very responsive! They brought two electric cooktops and a charcoal grill- very satisfied with the responsiveness.
The property itself is very nice. The beds were excellent! Very firm mattress. The outdoor shower was a plus for post-beach rinsing. The beach is a quick 5 minute walk. Plenty of great dining near by. The Froggy Dog right across the street was a hit.
We rented a kayak from VayK rentals. Bad idea. The surf was way too rough for that, and even as close as the beach was, it would have been a nightmare to lug it back and forth. We also rented a cart, which we may have been able to live without, seeing as how close the house is- it would have been worth the walk to fetch more drinks. The sand on the beach is very fine- lovely for lounging on the beach, not so much for dragging a heavy cart overloaded with beach stuff. VayK was pretty cool about allowing us to swap the kayak for a few other items.
All told, we enjoyed a lovely vacation in Avon and the house was close enough to everything we wanted to do and see.
This was a great house for a family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The first thing we noticed about the house was that it was so clean! Resort Realty was fantastic to work with. They were responsive, organized, and efficient. I can't say enough good things about this property and our experience. I hate to say this, but next time I would book directly through Resort Realty website and avoid the extra cost by booking through VRBO.
