SALTY PIECE OF LAND, a four-bedroom/five-full and one-half bath home offers the perfect family retreat or a friend-group’s getaway — a place just a short stroll from the beach that will inspire renewed connections and instant memories with parrot head perfection.

Upon arrival, unload the car into the convenient cargo lift that enables you to easily transport your luggage and groceries. Make your way to the first level game room, fix a cold beverage at the wet bar, turn on the Smart TV and see who rules the foosball and pool tables. Also on this level is a full bath and six-person hot tub located on the adjacent deck.

All of the home’s bedrooms are masters featuring private baths and Smart TVs. Three of them — two kings and a room with two bunkbeds — are located on the second level, along with laundry facilities. The final bedroom, a king, is located on the third level just off the great room. Here you’ll find a haven of open, whimsical living. The great room, dining area, and kitchen flow seamlessly, inviting everyone to relax, recharge and share stories. Gather around the long kitchen counter with three stools to keep the chef company or spread out around the 10-seat dining table for memorable meals shared together. After dinner, cozy up on the sofas with a good book or movie on the Smart TV. As the sun sets, settle into a deck chair or climb a few steps up to the captain’s watch to catch the evening sky’s magical show over the ocean.

Perfect OBX family vacation spot!

Incredible house! We stayed here for one week and loved every minute. The house is perfect for families and children. We had three couples and five kids there - plenty of space and privacy for all. Every detail to help make your stay a great one has been considered by this host. I recommend highly, we would love to rent this house again.

Our family loved this house and it was easy access to the beach. We love this beach area because it is huge. It was a rainy weekend but with the game room was great. The kitchen, dining area, bedrooms, and bathrooms are top notch. We hope we can return in the future.

Great option for families

We loved staying here! The living area and kitchen area was nice and spacious and there were plenty of bathrooms for everyone. Nice and clean too! Only thing would be to have felt pads on the dining room chairs so they didn't make so much noise in the bedrooms below where we had kids sleeping.

A perfect beach getaway.

We had a perfect weekend here. Salty piece of land included everything we could need. From the big stuff like a luggage lift to the little stuff like hot and cold water and a hand sprayer in the outdoor shower this house had it all. The beach was very close and easy to get to. We’d happily come here again.

We really enjoyed our family stay. Short walk to beach. Coffee in the morning and cocktails at night on the deck looking at the ocean was relaxing. Bedrooms each having own bathroom was awesome! Had a Great Time!

Great stay for a group of 10 friends. Enough room for all of us to stay comfortably and have our own space. The pool table, foosball table, hot tub, and fire pit were all a fun time. Proximity to the beach made this the perfect place to stay, along with all the included beach gear. Communication with the host was great, very fast responses to any questions we had.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Salty Piece of Land. The house is exactly as advertised. Plenty of room for the entire family. Great location with an easy walk to the beach. And convenient to restaurants, grocery store and shops. We walked for ice cream several evenings and for coffee and breakfast one morning. The game room was also a fun activity for the evenings and a rainy day. The host was fantastic and very easy to work and communicate with. We could definitely stay here again.

Well equipped home in very nice location.

We chose this property for it’s location and facilities and it did not disappoint. Theresa was a wonderful host, very quick to respond to any communications and was also very accommodating. Great Family Getaway

The house and everything in was just as advertised. Plenty of room for my family. Great views of the ocean from the 3rd floor deck and crow’s nest. Furnishings were nice and comfortable. The walk to/from the beach was a bit longer than expected but having the hot tub available at the end of a day on the beach made you forget the walk quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the “Salty Piece of Land.”

Wedding Weekend

Wonderful vacation to Avon for a family wedding. The home was gorgeous and great for a family with private baths for each bedroom. Teresa was excellent to work with and promptly responded to an issue we had with one of the AC units. Would highly recommend this home to anyone coming TN OBX.

We enjoyed our stay at a Salty Piece of Land! The location is great with close access to the beach, restaurants, and ice cream. The kitchen is well stocked and the layout is great for multiple families. The only complaint is that towels are not provided. That should be highlighted in the description so people can plan accordingly. We hope to be back!

Property is exactly as listed and looks just like the pictures. I was so happy to find a high chair there to use for my 10 month old. Short walk to the beach, the beach cart with balloon tires was extremely helpful to use as well. House is in a nice area. We liked that it was a 3min drive to Food Lion and there were several shops and seafood markets very close by. We spent a good bit of time in the gameroom and hot tub in the evenings. The luggage lift was a LIFE SAVER!!! Especially with the 3 different floors of the house. The property manager checked in with me the day of check-in and was super responsive to my questions throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend.

Great getaway!

Teresa was absolutely amazing at quickly answering texts and questions whenever I had them. The house was spotless and perfect for our needs. Great location if you prefer quiet and low key which was exactly what we wanted. The beach is close - but there are stairs and a hill over the dune - just be prepared! Would absolutely recommend!!

The house was amazing - by far one of the cleanest and most comfortable we have ever stayed at. Plenty of room for 8 people, comfortable beds and furniture, lots of thoughtful touches throughout that made our stay very enjoyable. The outdoor decks were great, and we especially enjoyed a fantastic view of the fireworks on July 4 from the top deck. A highlight was also the close walking proximity to the ice cream shop and bakery. The neighborhood pool is also very nice. Communication was excellent! I would highly recommend!!!
