Not the best hotel
Posted Feb. 29, 2024 on HotelsI was more than disappointed with my stay. The walls are paper thin. You actuall feel as if you are involved in conversations and I was unlucky enough to be next to an "active room" shall we call it. It was tired and in desperate need of some TLC. Much better hotels to stay in

This was one of the best value holidays I have ever been on. The breakfast was one of the nicest breakfast I have had and the sauna steam room and swimming pool and gym are all good. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Barely passable
Posted Feb. 8, 2024 on HotelsStart with the positives; all staff were lovely and the room and pool area were clean. Now to the negatives; uncomfortable worn mattress (needs a new one!), bright light outside window all night, curtains inadequate to keep out (install a blind), walls between rooms paper thin (could clearly hear phone conversations and lights being switched on) sauna and steam room were a walk through the gym and if you'd been in the pool that's a walk in your towel...

Staff where great again, at the pool main reception desk and restaurant.
I stay a lot so a menu change would be great, the specials seem to last the week which does not help a block booking.

Not too good
Posted Feb. 5, 2024 on HotelsThe building is worn out in a lot of areas. The breakfast was cold and uninviting. The beds hard and uncomfortable. Fortunately we only stayed one night.
The view from the building was good. There is a lot of history in the building.
On the whole it could do with a really good clean and a revamp.
