Room view was stunning and it was clean, but no chairs or other furniture in room. Open concept bathroom is less than ideal. Sound carried badly and noisy guests (especially one lady beside us constantly on her phone) disrupted the tranquility of the place. Another woke us up at 2a.m. The hotel is concrete with no furnishings which attributes to the sound issues. Breakfast/bar staff were fantastic. The front desk staff less so and communication before arrival was lacking. I couldn’t even get a confirmation of our reservation. Breakfasts were delicious.

Right on the lagoon…so pretty. Front desk staff were very efficient and replied quickly to What’s App questions. My room 202 did feel a little like I was part of the deck scene…I would have preferred something a little quieter. Overall a very pleasant stay!

The property is beautiful, the staff is incredible, the food and cocktails are excellent! I had no complaints. We stayed 3 nights and it was exceptional. The walk to town is a little far but we did it twice! I wanted the exercise anyway. The staff was so hardworking, friendly, and helpful. I will come back if I'm in that part of the country again! HIGHLY recommend.

Perfect stay in Bacalar!

An absolutely perfect stay for our group of 5 friends celebrating a birthday. The staff went above and beyond for everything...arranging massages, catamaran trips, etc. And the service at the bar and restaurant was so attentive and thoughtful. Location was perfect, and facility was gorgeous. We'll be back!

Beautiful Bacalar

What a wonderful place Amainah is, in all my travels I have never seen an entire staff so fantastic! Our room was beautiful the breakfast that was included was incredible and the service was second to none. The view from our room was beautiful. The only negative is it's not very handicapped accessible there is no elevator and quite a few steps.

We spent two at Amainah and loved it. It's on the quiet end of Bacalar right on one of the most beautiful areas of the lagoon. The food was very good and it was nice to have the option to dine at the hotel. The vibe was very relaxed and it was quiet, as there are no children allowed; adults only. The staff was very attentive and friendly. And, of course, it was absolutely beautiful perched right on the lagoon.
