About this property

The river literally runs through it!

Cross the bridge and leave the world behind.

This one of a kind log cabin sits directly above a clear spring fed stream at the edge of Pike National Forest. You will park in a private lot surrounded by woods and walk across a small bridge to reach the cabin. From the moment you arrive, the sound of the water sets the tone for a peaceful and unforgettable stay.

Only 50 minutes from Denver, this cabin is an ideal escape for couples, families, or anyone looking to slow down and reconnect with nature. The Meridian and Tanglewood Trailhead is just a five minute walk away and follows the same stream through a beautiful forest setting. Hiking, mountain biking, fishing, horseback riding, climbing, or simply relaxing are all right outside your door.

The large wrap around deck sits just feet from the river and offers incredible views and constant water sounds. The hot tub is positioned right along the stream, making it a perfect place to soak and unwind. In the evening, enjoy stargazing from the quiet back patio off the loft. A chiminea outside and a wood burning stove inside add warmth and comfort on cooler nights.

Inside, the cabin is filled with character and history. Unique antiques and rustic details give it an old world mountain feel while still offering the comfort you want during your stay.

The cabin comfortably sleeps up to eight guests. The open loft features two full size beds, each sleeping two. There is also a rustic bunkhouse style bunk bed with a full size bed on the top and a full size bed on the bottom, making it a great setup for families or groups.

The bathroom is rustic yet fully finished, featuring stone walls, Italian glass subway tile, and hand cut Aspen trees extending through the ceiling. It is a truly one of a kind mountain cabin bathroom.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator and freezer, microwave, vintage oven and range, toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker, instant ice maker, and an outdoor gas grill.

The cabin is set up with Starlink, providing blazing fast internet if you need to stay connected while surrounded by nature.

Please note that the cabin uses a very clean and private outhouse. It is located just outside the front door, about ten feet away, with approximately twenty steps up to reach it. The outhouse is well maintained, private, and easy to access, and many guests appreciate that it adds to the authentic cabin experience while still being comfortable.

For relaxing indoors, there are flat screen TVs on both the main floor and in the loft with access to Netflix and Amazon streaming. A Bluetooth speaker system is also available for playing music from your phone.

This cabin has been thoughtfully cared for and loved, and it shows in every detail. It is a quiet, magical place where the sound of the water, the surrounding forest, and the character of the cabin come together to create a stay guests remember long after they leave.

Remote Cabin on Creek

This location is certainly remote and pretty The attention to detail on decor is stunning. The antiques give the cabina rustic vibe fitting for the space. The hot tub is a fantastic resource to have all the way out in the middle of nowhere and it's spot right along the creek is perfect. The only complaints I have are: Water- there was no drinking water at the cabin and it's not exactly a cakewalk to get there or leave for supplies. We resorted to boiling then cooling water for a day before getting back to town to get water bottles. Noise-we came out to the mountains and a remote Cabin for peace and quiet. I know that owners need to get stuff done, but when power tools go off unexpectedly all the way out in the wilderness, it's very jarring. It really took away from the experience for us. Bathrooms- There was both a composting and normal outhouse ok property, but the photos show a toilet inside. There is a toilet inside, but you can't use it. I wouldn't have cared so much if I hadn't come expecting an indoor toilet
