DO NOT RENT-The host Carla was inattentive and unprofessional to say the least. The home was not kept up at all. This is NOT AN OASIS HOME - it got broken into & what a coincidence that they took our personal items (luggage and purse) but nothing else from the home. The two thieves knew there was a 4 digit code as you can hear them on the videos, they left their soda can & marijuana joint behind. This home was in very poor conditions; all bedroom & kitchen windows were unlocked, you can easily slide them open, back chain linked gate leading to the alley didn't have a lock - all easy access into the home, rust on the shower rod, black mildew & mold around the edge of the tub, no covered plate around an electrical outlet, the front yard had weeds to my ankles, a broken vent, AC unit didn't work well, the windows had ADT Stickers, but we were not allowed to arm it while we left the home or at night to keep us safe. This could have prevented the breaking and entering and our stolen items. The back French Doors didn't lock correctly as you can easily wiggle them around and open it. The host is alleging that we left the back French door unlocked and that's how the thief's got in but this isn't true. Why would we want it to be unlocked when it's not our home, plus we have our personal items in it. The responding officer asked why we rented this place, it's in an unsafe neighborhood & our trucks out front may likely to be broken into or stolen! It's highly disturbing with no results!
