Bedrooms were clean but needed some tlc. We were woken by the beer delivery on Wednesday.
I arrived from London on the motorcycle and had a warm welcome with a lovely comfortable bed and a very good bathroom with a top class shower. Sadly I arrived too late for their delicious menu as the kitchen closes early on Sunday. But I will be back very soon as I have moved near Chester and Bala is only miles away. Highly recommended. Cheers! John.
Large historical building. Friendly, efficient service. Large bedroom, clean, but didn't sleep because room was so uncomfortably hot! Radiators off and fan provided which had on all night which was noisy but couldnt understand why so hot. Slept on top of covers as so hot. However, breakfast lovely and evening meal was exceptional. Convenient, good parking at back and good atmosphere. Would stay again but different room. Not room 108. It was a rainy day so couldnt imagine if a hot day. I think they would have accommodated us if we had told staff but we only stayed for one night after moving daughter into university.
Very tidy quiet room, comfortable and well equipped. Good shower and plenty of pressure. Breakfast was pretty good too. Value for money. Would stay again if we were in the area.
Travelling for work
Room was great, staff very polite and professional, would recommend
Breakfast was second to none extensive menu and great service, thanks again
Booked in a hurry and missed the detail it is a pub and the rooms are above the pub. Limited parking at the back but there is off street parking so it was ok. The building looks very beautiful from outside and it is well maintained. Rooms were clean and had basic amenities you expect. Unclear pricing for breakfast left a bad taste. Waited for check in as the staff seemed to be busy with pub. I didnt have dinner so cant comment on that, there are many options on thr high street. Rooms are on 3 floors and there is no lift.
Nice pub hotel, overall good stay. Few things that could have improved overall rating - add a hair dryer to the room. Some of the windows opened out towards the rooftops which is fine, however the roof was littered with rubbish.
I had a single room R301 it is probably the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Although the bed was comfortable it was a small single bed which made for a restless nights sleep.
It was clean, breakfast no longer included. Genarally the noise was a nusuance outside my door and could hear orhers in their rooms and there was a delivery early morning. The ataff were pleasant and polite.
