Casa Buendía is where modern architecture meets the rain forest above Costa Rica´s beautiful South Pacific coast. If you are looking for a contemporary home-base from which to explore and enjoy Costa Rica´s most amazing natural assets, look no further!

Spectacular coastal and mountain views abound in this 5,000 sq ft 4 bedroom luxury hideaway, which includes a large office with private bath (converting to a 5th bedroom if needed). Swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and Palapa-covered terraces beautifully contrast the clean modernistic lines of the house. The main floor surrounds a small inner garden courtyard and fountain. Large, bright fully appointed kitchen has granite counters, gas stove, and wet-bar. Adjacent dining and living rooms boast double-height vaulted ceiling, accessed from a gallery-styled passage and stunning vestibule entrance.

Sleeping Quarters on Top Floor w/ Best Views!: On the upper floor, an elevated walkway separates the swank, private master bedroom from another VIP guest suite, along with two more bedrooms, each with balconies and breathtaking views. A giant 3-car garage, laundry room and storage area comprise the lower floor below.

Uncommon Combination of Nature and Luxury: Casa Buendía is located on 2..5 acres (1 hectare) of forested land, bordered by a mountain stream on the westernmost limit, accessible via a private footpath. Toucans, howler and white faced monkeys are common attractions. Just to the south lies Ballena National Marine Park and Corcovado National Park, while Manuel Antonio National Park is a short drive away to the North. Surfing, sport-fishing, diving, hiking, birdwatching, mountain biking, horseback riding, sea and river kayaking and rafting, are just some of the activities offered in the area. Spa treatment, maid service and gourmet food preparation are available on request.

Quiet and relaxing

Great communication with the property manager. Accommodated all of our requests. Booked our excursions. Responded promptly to questions. The property is very clean and had everything you could think of. Plenty of space and bathrooms, inside and out. The grounds are neat and tidy. Secluded location, but only a short drive to the beach, stores, and restaurants.

Amazing!

The location is fabulous! We were in the jungle with beautiful views of the Pacific. Monkeys were out every morning playing in the trees. We saw them each morning while making coffee. The pool, hammocks and lounge area were so relaxing. The huge windows throughout the property added to the experience. We enjoyed all the modern touches throughout the property. Isabel and her son were so thoughtful! I would love to return!

Beautiful, quiet, relaxing stay

Great secluded home with an amazing view. The communication with the property manager was great. They answered all our questions and inquiries promptly. The property is clean, kitchen is well stocked and the grounds are well kept. The drive up is a bit rough (would recommend 4 x 4 especially if it has recently rained). There are great restaurants close by -- Jolly Roger Bar and Scala are both amazing. The home has caregivers that live in the house (room off the garage).

We had an amazing stay in this home surrounded by the jungle forest filled with the sounds of Howler monkey, toucans and countless tropical birds. The location was perfect for us as it was peaceful with amazing views and sunsets. It’s close to amazing restaurants and activities centers including Whale tail beach and Diving. The house was beautiful and very spacious. The only real issue we had was not having consistent hot water. The host’s property manager and vacation planner Dennis was a huge support for us as we planned our trip in advance and acted swiftly to find solutions to small issues we ran into at the house. The location to Quepos is a good hour away so we did need to drive. Oh and always book a 4 WD rental car for the drive up to the house. Great host and very nice house keeper

Amazing spot!!

This is the most beautiful house in a great location. 4x4 is a MUST, the roads up to it are wild. Communication with property manager was amazing and they helped us get a tour guide on short notice. My only complaint is there is no ocean view by the pool like the pictures showed (the foliage totally obscured it). I was very disappointed, since that was one of the reasons why we chose the property. The balconies had ocean views in some spots. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this house, just know that the pool ocean view is not accurate!

Great property! The caretakers were so wonderful! We loved them! So helpful and kind! Loved the pool with the shallow areas. The shallow areas were a nice place to sit. Would also be amazing for young children. The pool was large. Hammocks were so comfortable and big. One of our group was always in one. House was very large and spacious. We had 9 in our group and had plenty of room. Balconies had beautiful views. Kitchen was large, spacious and well stocked. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The caretakers do an excellent job looking after the grounds. Over all wonderful experience! Beautiful home and property! Owners easy to talk to. They respond quickly and are very accommodating and kind.

Perfect house, manager, and caretakers. Breathtaking views

My stay here with family and friends ages 15 month, 4 yr old, 14 & 17 yr old, and 4 adults was wonderful. We had a couple minor issues but they were took care of immediately. House is huge. Gorgeous views. Seen Toucans every day, Spider monkeys, heard the howler Monkeys, and plenty of other birds. The view from the top of the mountain to the ocean is breathtaking. I definitely recommend a 4wd car.

A beautiful and tranquil paradise in the sky!

This home is a nature lover’s dream! It sits in the mist of a beautiful natural setting with no shortage of flowers, trees, and wild life: yet you have all the modern amenities at your fingertips! The owners were a joy to work with! They helped us research tours, chefs, and massage therapists! They were always very courteous and quick to respond! This home is located near beautiful beaches, great restaurants, and so much more! We woke up to the songs of howler monkeys! My only recommendation is to rent a vehicle with good traction and ground clearance! Overall, we had a phenomenal stay! I highly recommend this home, and all that comes with it!
