The condo is in ok condition. It is fair for the price in my opinion. The dishwasher was broken as well as the master bedroom window. Location and amenities are good.
The condo was nice and we enjoyed the proximity to the ski slopes and hiking at Otter Falls and Grandfather Mountain. The condo said it was pet free however we found pet hairs in the bathroom and in our sheets. I am highly allergic to down feathers and the pillows on the couch had down feathers so I had to deal with swollen eyes the whole trip. Also, the dishwasher did not work and there were dirty dishes left from the previous guests. Other than that, thank you for opening your home to us. It was a nice getaway for our family. The fireplace was so nice and relaxing.
The property was amazing. The resort and the condo itself was beautiful and well taken care of. The staff at the front desk and the shuttle drivers were awesome. The problems I had was with the condo itself. No dish towels or dish clothes. I had to use paper towels to wash off dishes and counter tops. No towels were provided for the pool. The front desk said the owner should have blue striped towels for the pool. None provided. I had to use a towel from the bathroom. Hot water problem. Turned on the hot water heater like instructed. Had hot water the first couple days. On the third day, I took a shower, but no hot water. I did not run the dishwasher as instructed because of no hot water. I hand washed the dishes and placed them on the counter. I was the only person using the property, so I did not take excessive showers.
Sadly, the place was not cleaned before our stay. Condo had cat/dog hair throughout the entire place (floors, beds, bedsheets, under and on top of furniture), the master bathroom had pink and black mildew covering the bottom of the shower curtains, public hair on floor in bathroom and behind shower curtains and all the glass, mirrors were dirty with old fingerprints/smudges. When we informed them, they asked if they could send someone out to address the issues and we said yes, but no one came. When we informed them of this, we kept receiving a text someone would contact us, and no one ever did. Very disappointed that we paid for a cleaned place and clearly it wasnt. Asked if our cleaning fee would be credit back since we didnt get to enjoy a clean place and got, I will contact the property manager and see, then crickets. Avoid this place unless you dont mind sleeping on dirty sheets.
Didnât have sheets for the pull out (provided twin sheets for a queen pull out) and needs some updating and fixing (big âwindow broke do not openâ sign in master). View was beautiful and property close to the places we wanted to explore!
This place is dated and needs a major deep cleaning. The carpet is long almost like shag and has a ton of stains. All of the window treatments were broken and barely gave privacy. Would not recommend this place.
Our unit provided spectacular views. Overall, we were pretty satisfied with our unit, as it was private and quiet. Some of the drawbacks was that it seemed a little outdated, with a sort of 80s vibe. The unit needed some repairs, such as no air conditioning (in July), no handle on sliding screen door, door shelves on fridge were broken and kept falling off. Also, we had a very long walk down the endless hallway, and I'm glad I grab a luggage valet. Also, during the booking process, it should be made abundantly clear that you have to take a shuttle bus to and from the various parking lots to the condo.
This was such a great place to stay to see the fall foliage and the majestic mountains. The view out of the condo was awe inspiring! Sugartop is close to the quaint town of Banner Elk with lots of great restaurants and shops. The condo itself was immaculate and the kitchen was well stocked. The furnishings are like new and very comfortable. We had a great time and give the whole experience 5 stars!!!!!
Awesome! That is the only way I know to explain our experience. Everyone was very helpful. The rooms were spotless. I don't think I have ever slept on a bed that was more comfortable than the ones we had this weekend. Thank you for making our family weekend wonderful!
The apartment is beautiful, comfortable and has everything you may need in the kitchen. Vacasa answered the phone promptly every time we called and they were helpful in answering the questions we had.
