Cosy south facing sunny cottage Ballylickey, Bantry - on the Wild Atlantic Way

Welcome to Suaimhneas.

This is a three bedroomed cottage. There is one double ensuite downstairs and a double and twin upstairs. There is a bathroom upstairs with shower over bath. Downstairs there is a toilet. The cottage has a cosy lounge with inglenook with solid fuel stove. A starter fuel pack is provided for each guest. There is a television, dvd player and radio/cd player.

Off of this is a fully equipped kitchen cum
dining room with electric oven and grill, microwave, gas hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. All necessary delph and cutlery are provided.

The downstairs double ensuite includes a spacious electric shower.

All duvets, towels and linen provided.

The cottage is situated on its own private enclosed grounds which provide ample parking, safe playground for children and secluded area to relax and sunbathe or enjoy an open air picnic and view the scenic countryside.Combining the best of both worlds it has every modern convenience and all the romantic appeal of a traditional cottage.

The interiors are finished in natural wood which creates a warm welcoming atmosphere. Suaimhneas is approved by the Irish Tourist Board. It is located 1km from the village of Ballylickey which is nestling on the edge of beautiful Bantry Bay with the backdrop of the Caha Mountain Range.

Here there are hotels, award winning restaurants and pubs, supermarkets, and it is on the bus route. There are several little bays and inlets where you can swim and fish. The cottage is 7km from the maritime heritage town of Bantry, and Glengarriff is 12km away and is the gateway for touring both the Beara peninsula and the Ring of Kerry.

Excellent séjour !

Nous avons passĂ© un excellent sĂ©jour au cottage de Kathleen. A notre arrivĂ©e, la maison Ă©tait chauffĂ©e et nous avons beaucoup aimĂ© le feu de cheminĂ©e. Elle se trouve au milieu d'une petite parcelle sans vis Ă  vis, elle est spacieuse et bien Ă©quipĂ©e. La rĂ©gion du Kerry est magnifique 😍 Un grand merci Ă  Kathleen

Belle maison confortable en pleine campagne

Nous avons partagé cette maison avec un autre couple chacun ayant son indépendance. Les lits sont trÚs confortables , salon spacieux ou nous avons aprecié le chauffage au bois . Le seul reproche serait un manque important de vaisselle et de couverts . TrÚs belle région entre mer , montagne et campagne

Ballylickey cottage

This cozy old farm cottage was just what we were looking for. Lots of character with the 18” thick walls & fun window seats. The location was perfect with beautiful views & very quiet. Easily accessible to Bantry, Glengariff. We enjoyed the fireplace in the evenings. . There is plenty of room for a larger family. The barbecue grill was unusable & we needed to supply our own soap & shampoo, this is not a complaint just a heads up

Great communication with the hosts

Lovely cottage in rural setting, quiet and comfortable. Has everything you need for your self catering needs. Great location with easy access to Bantry Bay and the beautiful coastline of County Cork and Kerry. Sat nav took us to a location 2 kilometres away but found it easily with the help of neighbours and prompt texts from the hosts.

Lovely Cottage and surroundings

We had a lovely time at the cottage. Jack was very friendly and had left us some wood for the fireplace. All in all we had a very nice stay. The only critics we have is that the place has not been cleaned very well and the carpets in the bedrooms need to be changed.

Calm an lovely cottage

We had a nice stay jn a lovely cottage fitting perfectly into the area. Our hosts had already welcomed us with a fire in the fireplace. It is a very quiet area, perfect for relaxing. Thanks to the spacious outdoor area, the children were able to play freely outside. The house is a bit older and the wooden floors are thin on the wall, but we expected that and it didn't really bother us. We enjoyed our stay.

Lots of space

Hosted by the loveliest people, we adored our stay here. We loved the big, comfy couches to sit around the fire on in the evening, a large gravel driveway for the kids to play ball on, three toilets to make bathroom sharing easier in a family of 5 and wifi and lots of TV stations to pick from. Our hosts put the picnic table out when the weather got warm and stopped by to see us on our way and really made us feel like part of the family!

A perfect spot for a week or a month

As a VRBO Host and an owner of a guest house I can sometimes have my expectations not met. I had the pleasure of staying for 3 weeks at the cottage. its well equipped with anything you might need for a relaxing holiday. 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, fireplace, salon and a real working kitchen with most everything you need. close enough to the pub and food shop but far enough away to feel isolated. It a real Irish home with out the bells and whistles you might get at a more modern/commercial property. Kathleen and Jack are great hosts, they are less than 1 k away
 good communication and very friendly.

Cottage in fantastischer Umgebung

Das Cottage ist ein wunderbarer Ausgangspunkt, um die Umgebung erkunden zu können. Bei unserer Ankunft an einem verregneten Tag war ein Feuer im Kamin angezĂŒndet, sodass wir uns sehr willkommen fĂŒhlten! Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Zu beachten ist, dass der Strom extra gezahlt werden muss.
