Room was just OK, they play a game between what is shown on pics compared to what they actually give you. Mgr is a painful person as he made us wait tilll 3 PM to check in which bit into our short 2 night stay in Barcelona. We left hotel at noon and had to come back to check in then start again. Breakfast was well worth pre-paying as food in Barcelona is ridiculous. each coffe in a restaurant is 1.5 euro & sandwich is 5 euro so at 9 euro this is very good to eat at hotel before you leave. Good choices/clean.

The hotel is conveniently located by Sagrada Familia and the metro station, about 9 minutes walk. The 24-hr front desk staff was great upon check-in/out. The room is small but still spacious enough for two people to fully unpack. We had daily housekeeping and got fresh towels, even when we planned on reusing the towels. The rooms are not sound proofed but we couldn’t hear our neighbors at all. We slept well at night. The bathroom is quite large with a tub/shower with a moveable glass door that you must place it in a specific position ensuring the base rubber is pointing towards the tub to avoid water spillage everywhere. I get that they tried to make the glass as a door, but being a tub, I don’t see how this is needed or would work well. Even with our best efforts, we still had quite significant amount of water leaking after showers. We found some mold behind the toilet as it’s installed so close to the wall that it must be hard to properly clean it. Outside of that, everything else was very good. The hotel offers breakfast at an additional charge but we did not have any as we wanted to try the local restaurants and shops. But it’s a nice to have option, specially if you are running short on time. Overall this was a good value, specially for the area.

Breakfast was a good variety, only warm though not hot food. They had pineapple juice which is RARE!! Rooms were cleanish (hairs on floor and in shower, sheets had stains) front desk person for day shift was NOT helpful, his answer to everything was "oh i dont know"

Shower head holder was broken so had to shower by hand. No hair cream rinse available. ‘Free’ breakfast was horrible. (You could see all the guests at breakfast every day were perplexed as to why the breakfast was so inadequate) Very small soap bars that disintegrated immediately. Expected a little better class of hotel for the price.

Young lady that works front desk during the day is so nice!!! She is very knowledgeable of things to do and places to see. Always has time for the guest. Breakfast was very disappointing though. But I don’t blame this on the staff. They work very hard. Corporate should definitely step up and give them the tools they need to improve this.
