Wonderful stay
Posted Feb. 24, 2019 on HotelsWe stayed at the Residences Cianfuran for 6 nights and really enjoyed it.
Located 10mins away from Bardonecchia- you must must have a car otherwise you are stuck! Located above the village of Gleise, the views from the Residence are stunning. The rooms were wonderful with a small balcony, a small kitchen and a nice bathroom and a mezzanine with 2 additional sofa beds. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful.
Small disappointment - especially as it required to drive every night to the city- the restaurant was closed and we didn’t know anything about it until our arrival (some management issues?!?)

Dear Emmanuel, thanks for your nice review. As told, the restaurant has a different management so we can't do anything about this. When we have known about the closing we communicate it. By the way, restaurant LeGleise
is open and really close to us (3min walk) and we found a pizzeria that deliver pizza and food here so the problem is solved! Thanks and hope to see you again!

Quite location
Posted Feb. 18, 2018 on ExpediaWas not expected to have to sleep on sofa beds for 7 nights as in description it said 3 single beds, so very uncomfortable also bedding was very thin.
The location was limiting unless you had a car, shuttle bus was hit and miss and that was only way down to town.
Restaurant on site was very good
lovely pizzas.
Overall experience loved Bardocchia but wouldn’t stay in hotel, would stay in village.

Great views and food!
Posted Jul. 18, 2017 on HotelsThe views are incredible! The Ristorante/Pizzeria just below the apartment is delicious (pizza and ravioli were amazing) and the staff were very accommodating with a busy toddler. The room was fine but you don't spend much time there in any case as there are many walks and beautiful viewpoints to discover (there is a playground just below the hotel (1km downhill/uphill) and also one in the main town. There is no pool, it is a 3km steep drive up to the hotel at the top and €10pp, the piscine communal in the town is fine though.
Lost 1 point on overall stay as we were put in a smoking room instead of non-smoking.

Pros: Feeling of remoteness without being so. View of the mountains from the restaurant terrace.
Cons: Kettle....
Location: Skiing:15-20min drive to Campo Smith (better for it), but only 5mins to Monte Jafferau
Ski trip Feb 2015. Last minute choice and very happy with it. Residence Cianfuran is located part way up the mountain just off the motorway leading from Turin (request snowchains as rental car may not have winter tyres) so very accessible (I would say a car is essential as nothing is available in Cianfuran.) The ladies at the front desk were great. Though our room didn't face the mountains (some do) it was very pleasant. Small discrete kitchenette (looks like a sleek cupboard until you pull the doors open.) But no kettle (aargh!) The rooms & landing in this part of the building (if think near the front) had a nice warm feel to them. The adjoining restaurant is run separately but is very much part of the place, with lovely food and atmosphere. The base lift at Campo Smith got very busy, but the runs were much quieter and there is some really nice intermediate skiing here. But Jafferau mountain, with its wide (upper) piste, was my fave. Overall, though initially some things did frustrate me with Bardonecchia (minor) I fell for the place. Residence Cianfuran won me from the minute we got there. Highly recommended. And will return!

Posted Apr. 7, 2015 on HotelsThe hotel was lovely. We had a fantastic view from our balcony. We did not eat at the restaurant but the staff when we went for drinks were very welcoming. The only complaints were that the sofa beds were very uncomfortable (we had to move the mattress onto the floor) and we didn't have heating for 2 nights.
A car is a must if you stay here.
