The disabled facilities in the room were perfect it's ashame that outside wasn't a bit safer ..broken slabs and uneven walkway to the building not ideal.

Some great things about this hotel: excellent gym, one of the best massages I’ve had, super breakfast, spacious room. Some slightly less positive things: room was quite dusty, bed was a little small, and a real bench mark of a quality hotel for me - are the towels big and fluffy? They were not! The main negative for me though: we had an awful journey up the motorway, which was closed in both directions, meaning we missed our 20h30 table reservation for supper. We kept in touch with reception during our journey, and were told the kitchens would be shutting at 21hr (last orders at 20h45). We finally got there at 21:02, and were told we couldn’t have any food other than a somewhat limited sandwich or pizza room service selection. Honestly, we’d have thought there could have been a little bit of flexibility. We ended up getting a picnic from Sainsbury’s round the corner - not what we had envisaged for what was meant to be a special night. Overall, plenty of positives, but some bits and bobs that really let things down.

Hotel was clean, rooms had nice bathrooms . But needs basic things fixed. Eg window in room was sagging with a 20mm gap allowing cold air in. Bed has a mattress topper to hide the springs sticking through the mattress…really uncomfortable bed Menu was really basic in evening burgers/pizzas …I’d expect better from a “spa” hotel Breakfast was ok…but pretty basic food choices again I’d expect better for this type of hotel Overall pretty sad for a hotel claiming to be a spa

Bathrooms have had money spent on them but the cleaning of the showers is not prolonging the look of them. Mattress was comfy but pillows too hard and some lumpy. Food was excellent and bar/restaurant service. Spa area - changing rooms need some TLC, jacuzzi wasn't very warm and chlorine smell was very overpowering. Overall a pleasant stay.
