Dirty and cheap platform beds that move ever time you move. No chair in the rooms to sit in not even at the desk. The ac unit was so nasty and dirty I couldn’t touch it. Unfortunately I have to travel further to Beaumont when I come to visit now!!

Our Worse Stay in Any Hotel!!

This was our worse stay at any hotel in the US, Europe and Asia. Assigned the handicap accessible room where the whole bathroom floor flooded when showering, there was blood on the sheet and bed spread, the bedding smelled, the mattress sagged, the room was dirty, the hair dryer was pulled from the wall, the walls were chipped and there was no phone in the room.

Elevator

The elevator stops slightly below the ground floor--so if you're on it, after it stops you have to push the "1" button again so it will move up a few inches so the door will open. If you're outside waiting, the light goes off but the door won't open (because it's too low) so you have to push the button again. When we mentioned it to an employee they indicated the owner is too cheap to fix it--as they have had elevator problems in the past. Stating they went 6 weeks without elevator. I'D NOT STAY with no elevtor!

The elevator had been out earlier in the day, it was very jerky and didn't feel safe. I was told if I got to the bottom floor and the elevator door don't open just hit the number 1 button again. The phone didn't work when I tried to call the front desk. I never got the two extra pillows I needed. the bathtub plug wouldn't stay in the drain in order to take a bath. The free WIFI wouldn't connect so I had no internet. Otherwise it was a great location, everything was clean and the staff was friendly.

The property was spotless, the beds comfortable. An average breakfast, hash browns were terrible. The staff was fantastic. The television is horrible, not user friendly at all, not even the staff is sure how to navigate it. The florescent light over the mirror in the bathroom was inoperable and the owner would not let the maintenance staff repair as the hotel is undergoing renovations. The staff did give us a table lamp to use in the bathroom (the ceiling light was operational). The exhaust fan was inoperable in the bathroom also. The heat was terrible (I know who needs heat in south Texas?). I set it at 74 degrees and set it on emergency heat that should have turned on the heat strips inside the unit, instead it must have stayed on heat pump mode and never got above 71 degrees. Would I ever stay there again? The answer is yes but I would bring a tablet or computer with down-loaded movies to watch and would not visit during a cold snap.
