We had a great stay! The fire place was cozy and the house has beautiful views of the hill. It was a great location, we could walk to the ski hill! Beds were comfy and it was fun to play games around the big table or by the fire, would definitely stay again!

Landlord communication and responsiveness was excellent. Check-in process was extremely easy, and the hosts directions and guidebook were helpful in planning our stay. This vacation house is incredible! It is a perfect combination of a typical A-frame cabin in Northern Michigan with all the modern finishes one could ask for. On top of it all, this property has one of the best views on the entire property, complete with a great deck for outside gathering and huge windows for when the weather keeps us inside.

Stunning View

Valley View home has a stunningly beautiful view and a charming A-frame layout on the interior. There is plenty of seating and a large dining table and bar seating to accommodate mealtime for big families. The fireplace works very well and was an added bonus for the cold snowy weekend of our stay.Televisions are located in every living space besides all the bedrooms. The Pac Man video game unit was a big hit with our kids. The beds are comfortable with plenty of extra warm blankets as needed. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, silverware, cookware, sheet pans and all the small appliances you need. All the large appliances in this home are very new. The home is located conveniently to all the ski lifts in the Shanty Creek complex. Our hosts, Jim and Joe are a pleasure to work with. They quickly reply to texts, emails and calls, and are one of the best hosts I've worked with in the past six years of vacationing at Shanty Creek. Awesome location, great views

This was a very cool and unique house, in a great neighborhood near Schuss Mountain. We had a two family ski weekend here, and the house met our needs well with living space on all three floors. Beautiful views and balconies. It was a 5 minute hike to the ski hill, which was great. Some of the furniture/beds are a bit worn out. The heating system took a while to figure out, but the fireplace was really nice to have and made it manageable. Overall very good experience and accurate listing.

Beautiful All Around

I booked this house for a friends trip up north to see the fall colors and it did not disappoint. The house was everything we wanted with incredible views off the back porch. The owners were excellent about communication and even reached out the first day of our stay to make sure we made it safely. House is a short drive to everything we needed in town while being secluded enough to get away from it all. Would highly recommend to all.

Perfect family vacation spot!

The property was exactly as described and owners are great at communicating. All expectations and rules were clearly stated and we had no issues! We went to Torch Lake (about 10-15 min away) and used the facility pool when it rained!

Family Getaway

We loved this place. So cute and full of charm. So quiet and picturesque. I loved how clean the place was. This is very important to me and i was very impressed. It was a great location between everything and our family group. Not to mention the amenities in the community that we were able to use. A beautiful place we all love. We will definitely come back. The josts were wonderful.

Amazing Views!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Valley View Lodge! The cabin is lovely. It was a great set up for 2 families with kids. The views off the deck are breathtaking. It felt like you were in the mountains. The kids loved the retro video game console and smores around the fire on the deck. The host, Joe, was quick to respond and helpful with any questions I had. It was a wonderful experience all the way around!
