Art Collector's Sophisticated NW Crossing Home
If you care about interior design, good light, and how a space feels, you'll love this home! Beautifully furnished with selected antiques, oriental rugs, and original art with vaulted ceilings in every room. Located in a cottage community that is walking distance to NW Crossing's fun restaurants and new Market Hall food pavilion.
The living area gets beautiful south and west light. There is a gas fireplace with an original oil landscape from a well known artist hanging above it. Antiques, oatmeal linen draperies (not installed when I took a few of the pics), and artistic lamps round out the decor of this warm and inviting space. The dining area opens onto a patio with a bar-b-que and bistro set, and the antique gate leg dining table seats 6. Just above the opening to the kitchen is a collection of 19th century Chinese blue and white porcelains.
The kitchen has plenty of cabinet space, Kitchen-Aid stainless steel appliances with gas range, and everything you need to set a beautiful table. Just off the kitchen, leading to the single car garage, is the laundry room with stacked front-loading washer and dryer and good cabinet space.
The primary bedroom has a king size Beauty Rest mattress with fine linens and a view of the gardens. There is an en-suite bathroom and walk in closet. Custom draperies and pillows, a large mixed media painting, collected art, towering gray blue headboard, and plush oriental rug make this room feel elegant and dramatic.
The second bedroom is set up as an office with a single daybed with a trundle single bed and can sleep 2 people comfortably. The desk is the perfect spot to enjoy the morning light and catch up on email. There is an en-suite bath, and the large opening with barn door connects this bright room to the dining area.
The Commons, where the house is located, is a collection of charming Craftsman cottages with beautiful landscaping and BBQ and fire pit area. Each house has a generous porch that looks onto the well landscaped open space, which leads to impromptu conversations and gatherings. It's a friendly neighborhood with active adults, about half of whom are retired.
To make it all the better, the Commons is right on the NW Crossing foot path, which leads to the main NW Crossing shopping and dining area with the new market hall.
There is high speed internet and a Smart TV for all your streaming needs.
The property was exactly as advertised. Everything was super clean and in order. The property owner was easy to deal with and always available with a quick response. The house has everything that you need. We would definitely recommend this property. Location was close to everything via car or walking. Great walkable area close to lots of really great restaurants.
The unit was immaculately clean when we arrived. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well furnished. We stayed for over two months and really felt at home. The neighborhood is extremely quiet and very walkable. We were mostly skiing and it was 20 minutes door-to-door to Virginia Meissner, and only about 10 minutes more to Mt. Bachelor. Cafes, pubs, and shopping are about 15 minutes walking to the west, and about 20 minutes walking to the east. We had a few technical problems as might be expected with an extended stay and Elaine responded immediately and remedied the problems. We would stay there again any time we visit Bend.
