Good Vibes All Around: Aspen Sixteen at Black Butte Ranch

Aspen Sixteen is a trailhead cabin at Black Butte Ranch, conveniently located near Glaze Meadow Recreation Center. Enjoy an open floor plan and a lovely view from the large windows, and large back deck. Don't be surprised when deer frequently wander past.

This little gem has three bedrooms and sleeps up to 8. There are two rooms downstairs. One has two sets of bunks that are custom built and sturdy enough for adults. The other has a king bed, desk, and sliding door access to the back deck. The upstairs loft room has a queen bed, a bathroom with a shower, and large windows. Each bed has quality mattresses and bedding for cozy snuggles and a great night's sleep.

Black Butte Ranch has numerous bike/walking paths that allow guests the option to ditch autos and travel by bike or foot to five different pools, golf courses, stables, tennis/pickleball courts, frisbee golf, kids’ rec center, gyms, and a spa. Hoodoo is about 20 minutes away by car for winter rec enthusiasts. Sisters, Redmond and Bend are nearby towns that offer great coffee, dining, breweries and distilleries.

**The listed "Host Fee" is the cleaning fee if you were wondering. :)

**Effective January 1, 2024, BBR homeowners became responsible for collecting the now 13.5% of the nightly rate formerly charged at the Welcome Center upon guest check-in. That fee is included in your cost/night, so what you see as your total cost is the actual total cost.

We were there for a family get away and really enjoyed the cabin. The cabin was well stocked and there were lots of added touches you don’t often find. We would definitely come back here next time we visit black butte!

Great location for skiing at Hoodoo. The house was very well designed and felt even larger than it was. The house feels decorated with lots of intention and was very relaxing. We had a small group of adults and appreciated the well supplied kitchen.

AH16 and BBR at its very best

AH16 is a charming, comfortable, very well equipped and a perfect home for Black Butte Ranch visitors. My husband and I are elderly former BBR homeowners who keep coming back each year because BBR is so loved by us. AH16 is a perfect home for people like us, and also for families with young children This is a home we’d come back to!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. It was perfect for our stay. You are welcomed with the most thoughtful touches. The little notes and wonderful welcome book are icing on the beautifully furnished and decorated 'cake'. I have been coming to the ranch since infancy (35 years) and this is by far the most well thought accommodations. Comfy beds, great linens, thoughtful additions for families of all ages, wonderful communication with the owner. Planning our next stay already.

We had such a great stay at Aspen House 16! The house is extremely well appointed (Jennifer has literally thought of everything you could possibly need)! The furnishings are wonderful and the location is ideal... close to Glaze Meadow Rec Center where you can swim (indoor/outdoor), work out, rent bikes, get a facial, etc.! This is only our second time to Black Butte, but after this stay, we cannot wait to come back! Thank you!!!

We had a great time! The house was exactly what was pictured. The setting was quiet and private. This was our first time at Black Butte Ranch and we had a blast. I appreciated how well stocked the house was. It was very kid friendly (even had some cabinet locks available!) and cozy. We had two adults, a 5 year old, and a 2 year old. We had plenty of space and things to do.

AH-16 was a pleasant place to walk in to. Well decorated, comfortable, plenty of silverware and cooking needs. BBQ worked great, deck space expansive - and private enough for a peaceful time or space to play. Few deck boards had some creeks/cracks and a few loose nails we hammered down, but was a quick/easy task. Plenty of little, heartfelt, touches throughout and a mid-stay note from the owner checking that everything was ok, made this an amazing rental and experience!

Wonderful home with attention to detail

Delightful! Very well-cared for home with lots of personal touches. The kitchen was fully stocked with colorful dishware & cookware, plus basic ingredients neatly organized in well-marked containers. We had everything we needed. Easy to have multiple cooks in the kitchen, as it is neat and organized. The owners are super responsive. When we had an issue with the toilet, the plumber came immediately and fixed it; then, the next day he came again and installed a brand new toilet, just to ensure no future problems. We wish every owner would be as meticulous and fastidious. We look forward to staying here again!

Great house for anyone, especially a family with children. LOTS of books for them to read (wide age range from board books to preteen/teen), games to play, DVDs to watch. They even had 2 small bikes for children. A pack-and-play along with a gate to put across the stairs was tucked into the closets. They even provided tear free gentle baby soap/shampoo.Kitchen is open to the living area, which allowed everyone to enjoy each others' company all the time! The kitchen is well-stocked (coffee maker, coffee grinder, an excellent plug in/easy to clean bacon griddle, etc.). They had a wide range of kid plates/cups/silver(plastic)ware). Wifi was excellent. Excellent water pressure from the showers (full blast was too forceful, but able to adjust easily to our liking!). Soap, shampoo, and conditioner were provided.AC works very well. Clothes washer and dryer got the job done. Plenty of pool towels.Very short distance to quiet/peaceful Aspen lake. 1 mile to Glaze Meadow rec center/pool.Our family loved the house and I would highly recommend staying here.

Disappointing!!

The house was dirty, especially the downstair’s bathroom, and the amount of spider webs with dead bugs throughout was disheartening. I informed the host only to get a “thank you for your feedback.” Expensive night’s stay to not have a spotless bathroom. This won’t allow me to add my pix; I’ve got plenty of the nastiness surrounding the bathroom sink and wall in front of the toilet, which wiped off easily when I used a cloth on it, gross. Also all beds in this house are firm, so prepare to not sleep if that’s not your cup of tea. No tea pot, Wi-Fi or coffee grinder which was promised upon booking. Severely disappointed in this rental especially with what we paid, will never go back. Even the parking spot and entry is overgrown with weeds. The back porch is covered in pollen and huge pine needles that you have to sweep off of everything before you can even use the table and chairs. If the house had been clean, I would have recommended it because it is decorated nicely and a lovely home.
