The hotel is old, like 1970s old. The microwave doesn’t work and my room key doesn’t work on the pool room

No, just no

We stood in the lobby for at least 15 minutes with no one to be found. It was around 7pm, not late or middle of the night. We called multiple times. We thought about calling the police because we were seriously worried. Then a gentleman finally came out from somewhere unknown. The property is old with mostly original fixtures and furniture. And not just old, but very very stained and dirty. It really has maybe never been vacuumed. So much hair and yuck. Stained mattress pads. We left and found a different hotel.

The location was my main reason for staying there. It is only one mile away from my Son’s house that I was visiting. I found out that this property has been subject to bankruptcy in the past and the new property owners have not kept up the necessary expenses to keep the hotel up, thus various problems are showing up in the rooms and the actual buildings. It was also very dirty inside and outside. Also, the restaurant has been closed down. I don’t recommend anyone staying there.
