Hotel set the tone for my visit.

Without a doubt, the Berlin Plaza Hotel am Kurfurstendamm set the tone for my first visit to Berlin. The staff were wonderful, friendly and willing to allow me to stumble with a few German phrases. I have already decided to return next spring. Its location is fabulous, just a 10 minute amble along the wonderful Kurfurstendamm to the Zoologischer station which is a major hub for bus and S-bahn. My room was excellent, spotless and well serviced. Breakfast was amazing. There is little else to say other than thank you for adding value to my stay in a great city.

This is a very basic hotel. Location is central (close to Savigny Platx station). Lost of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The room is ok. Smelly. I had to keep the windows open for quite sometime to air out the room. It is an ok place to stay if you are a tourist and are not going to be in the room a lot.

Leider unerwartet schlechtes Hotel. Einrichtung alt und ungepflegt. Insgesamt schmutzig, Personal ständig neu, teilweise NICHT deutsch sprechend und wenig am Gast interessiert. Das extra zu bezahlende Frühstück schlechter wie beim Discounter. Hierhin kommen wir nicht mehr !

Der Lack ist ab...

Die Lage praktisch am Ku'damm, nahe U-Bahn Uhlandstrasse, S-Bahn Savigny-Platz und einer Bushaltestelle ist sehr zentral und gut. Das Zimmer hingegen hat seine besten Zeiten schon lange hinter sich, der Lack ist ab. Das Mobiliar ist zusammengeflickt, ein Kühlschrank fehlt, der Bettanzug war löchrig, der Teppich schmuddelig, das Bett durchgelegen und viel zu weich - und die TÜV-Kontrolle des Lifts seit einem halben Jahr überfällig. Immerhin ist das Bad recht geräumig, wenn auch die Dusche eher eng ist.

Dreckiger Boden, spärliches Duschwasser

Die Lage des Hotels ist gut. Der Zimmerboden scheint oberflächlich gesaugt worden zu sein. In den Ecken befand sich noch Dreck, z.B. Sonnenblumenschalen. Unter dem Bett lagen Papierchen und Staub von vllt. Monaten. In der Dusche kam nur ein Rinnsal sehr heißes Wasser. Kaltes Wasser kam gar nicht. Möglicherweise hat das mit dem 6. Stock zutun, vllt. auch nicht. Ich kann dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen.

l'hotel pourrait faire mieux

Hotel satisfaisant, j'ai paye 70 euros la nuit, ce qui, compte tenu des prix a Berlin et des prestations, me parait un peu trop cher. Le petit dejeuner est propose en supplément a 12.50 euros. J'ai eu des expriences positives et negatives avec l'hotel.
