The room was very comfortable and the location was central so it was easy to go to many of the sites. Although the decor was very interesting, I didn't like the online check in, and the overall atmosphere was that of a Las Vegas casino. Very big, very loud, unusual mix of people. However, once upstairs it was quiet and rooms were a nice size.

Excellent stay overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. This is a huge hotel with self check in and out. It’s clean and comfortable - located in the area of the city where all the government buildings and consulates are. It’s not in the heart of Berlin, I would say - but perfectly nice and good transport links (bus and underground).

The unmanned check-in is convenient, but you'll need to find a staff member to get VIP benefits. The hotel is close to the bus stop, the breakfast is delicious, and although the hotel itself is old, the room was fairly spacious on the 6th floor facing the park plaza, and I had a great view of the New Year's fireworks.

The bar/restaurant Lutze is excellent. Great food and drink menu, attentive staff, good prices and nice atmosphere. The hotel breakfast is excellent too with lots of choice.
