Enjoy a relaxing, cozy, & adventure filled getaway at this cozy & unique national park inspired cottage. The outdoorsy can enjoy the fresh breeze & pine trees or relax in the jacuzzi under the starry sky. Homebodies can enjoy a warm bath in the master bathtub oasis, cozy up next to the fire place, or play board games and watch movies all while enjoying the ambiance of 4 different national parks.
The house is our second home and is located in a quiet neighborhood of Big Bear City. The house is approximately 6.9 miles to the village, 4.6 miles to the grocery store (though there are a few little markets closer), and about 7 miles to the lake. All of the bedrooms have been designed to represent a different national park that we love.
-With the exception of the garage, outdoor shed, and master walk-in closet all common areas and bedrooms are accessible.
- The living room is an open space concept with a 65 inch flat screen TV, surround sound speaker, wood burning fireplace, 2 couches, and 2 chairs with ottomans.
-The kitchen houses all the necessary appliances to enjoy home cooked meals. There is a Keurig and regular coffee maker along with a kettle for tea. We use the house regularly, thus you will find the refrigerator and pantry stocked with basic condiments.
-The dining area holds a table for seating of up to 6. There is also a kitchen counter with 4 bar stools.
- The house has 2 full bathrooms. 1 off of the hallway and another within the master bedroom that has a shower and a separate tub.
-The master bedroom represents Joshua Tree National Park. With its jade green and neutral hues this room feels tranquil and serene with an enclosed bathroom oasis and cacti scattered throughout. The room has a TV with Roku and the ability to stream different apps. This room has a king bed. The closet in this room is not accessible.
- The second bedroom represents Grand Canyon National Park. Here, you will be enclosed by the warmth of the burnt orange hues that resemble the beauty and color of the canyons throughout Arizona. This room has 1 full bed with a twin trundle. It has a TV with Roku and the ability to stream different apps.
-The third bedroom is known as the Sequoia Room and gives off outdoor, freshness, and grounding vibes with its green hues. This room has a queen bed and a Roku TV.
-The fourth bedroom is the Yosemite Room. The blue and gray hues in this room give off calming, peaceful, and relaxing vibes. This room has a queen bed and a Roku TV.
-There is a bonus 5th room that may be used for movie night, playing games, and/or simply a separate area for the children to play and/or watch tv. The room has a futon that may be used as a single bed and a built in wall bench. This room has projector for entertainment that has Roku and streaming abilities. Board games and internet modem are housed in this room.
-The backyard has a jacuzzi, fire pit, BBQ grill, and furniture for sitting.
At the time of booking, you must submit a copy of your government ID. Guest agrees to house rules, rental agreement and release of liability upon booking. The terms of the rental include, but are not limited to the following:
Check in time is 4:00 p.m. and check out time is 11:00 a.m.
Pursuant to the City Ordinance, spa hours are from 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. This Ordinance is highly enforced and carries a fine of $500. If you are using the hot tub after these hours, by booking this property, you are agree to reimburse the owner the full amount of the citation, through the Airbnb Resolution Center,
for any citations/fines issued.
- The house does not have central A/C and the latter is not grounds for refund. Every bedroom has either a ceiling fan and/or a standing fan or both. The house has central heating.
- Please be courteous of neighbors and respect the neighborhood.
-Their shall be no refunds or credits due to any circumstances outside of our control including but not limited to: weather, snow, or road conditions, acts of nature, mechanical or electrical failure or malfunctions with spas, WIFI, TV's or other equipment, or the sighting of insects, bugs, or rodents..
- This is a non-smoking property. Please do not smoke or vape inside the property. There is a $500 fine for violations, plus any additional cleaning or repair charges required to return the property to its original condition.
- You are in the mountains. Expect possible encounters with wild animals and insects. Insects (i.e. spiders, ants) may make there way inside the house despite all of our attempts. The latter is not grounds for refunds.
-The Cottage has a maximum occupancy of 8 people (adult and children) and 4 vehicles. Over occupancy exceeding the allowed 8 people will result in immediate eviction with additional pupils not reported (but under 8) charged at $200 a person per night. We would appreciate you comply with the occupancy limits.
- Because we need to protect our property, we do have surveillance cameras on the property. They are located at the front entrance of the house and porch, side of the house, and the driveway of the cabin. We respect your privacy. There are no devices in the backyard and or in the house.

#2 front door, view of entryway, motion detection 24/7
#3 front of house, facing front porch, on 24/7
#4 right side of house, facing driveway, on 24/7
#5 back of the house, facing back driveway/garage, on 24/7
- WINTER WEATHER: From November through March, all vehicles are required to carry chains in their vehicle. If stopped by highway patrol, they will ask to see them. Weather can change quickly in Big Bear and significant snow can stop traffic and delay commutes to and around the Big Bear area. Watch the weather forecast and plan your trip accordingly. We donot provide REFUNDS for winter weather conditions. During winter snow storms, we do our best to plow driveways as quickly as possible, but road conditions can slow down our ability to access many properties. Winter weather can create treacherous conditions. Please drive safe and be prepared.
