LIVING SPACE - Spacious 1200 sq ft home with living room, TV, ceiling fans, dining table, a beautiful wood burning fireplace, and plenty of comfortable living room seating.

ROOMS & BEDS - 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath. Downstairs first bedroom has a queen bed and TV. Upstairs second bedroom has a queen bed (connects with third bedroom). Upstairs third bedroom has two twin/double bunk beds (connects with second bedroom). Extra blankets and pillows are available.

Comfortable cabin with massive backyard!

A nice holiday weekend escape from Los Angeles! My husband and I spent the weekend in Big Bear with our mini goldendoodle, and we were particularly delighted by the backyard at Sweet Retreat. It is extremely large and fenced in, just perfect for our curious pup. The large back deck was the perfect location for drinking coffee or enjoying a sunset cocktail. There is also a lower, covered cement patio available for use if needed. We only used the downstairs portion of the cabin, but a larger family would have been very happy with the two additional upstairs bedrooms and the half bath. The full bath downstairs was great, with strong water pressure and immediate hot water. You wouldn't cook a Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen, and the assortment of cutlery was a bit slapdash, but everything worked. And there were several coffee-making options, which was a nice touch. The furnishings are all classic Big Bear, with a vintage, rustic, woodsy vibe; the couch was very comfortable, as was the downstairs bed. Parking was extremely convenient, as was the check-in process.

Dirtiest place ever!!! I cannot believe that I had to pay cleaning fees for an extremely dirty place. I saw animal hairs, clumps of dust, and clipped nails everywhere on the floor. It looks like the place had not been vacuumed for a long time. The bunk bed-ladders were broken for both of the bunk beds. My kids were excited about the beds but I found dirty clothes underneath the bed. The wooden pieces that held up the upper bed were also broken and the bed was wobbling. The heater was so loud I was waking up at least every hour whenever the heater was on. The positive thing is that we stayed at the cabin for one day. If I had to stay at the place one more day, I would probably go crazy. I would not recommend this place at all.
