Great hotel but stay could've been better

I'm a great lover of Leonardo hotels so it was surprising that I booked again...overall fantastic stay, room was clean and bed was comfortable to Leonardo's excellent standard. My only niggle is the signage to get into car park and to get to hotel reception isn't clear. It was like working our way through a maze. The lifts are so slow it took us ages to get to our room. It was even worse at check-out, we along with a lot of other guests had to walk down 7 flight of stairs with our bags and suitcases. So disappointing. When I raised this with one of the staff when we were leaving he said it washis concern and that he only wanted to make sure we drive out safely due to the road closures. That was really rude!

Great stay BUT……

Had a lovely stay. Was able to check in early which was great. Room was clean, quiet, comfy beds. Pillows were a bit too firm, would suggest a variation to suit all preferences. Staff very friendly. HOWEVER….. I left a small mirror in the room, I phoned the hotel a few hours later once I was home and unpacked to advise them. Was told that housekeeping would check the room and could take anything from 1 day to 7 days for them to report it to reception. I phoned the next day, was told wouldn’t know until 3.00 pm that day (Monday) and I would be phoned after that time. No phone call. Made another call the next day (Tuesday) to be told it had been found, they would weigh the parcel and phone me to make payment, Heard nothing . Phoned again on Sunday, a week after first reporting. Was told it would be posted on Tuesday….. still not had a phone call. Item is not valuable but still wanted it returned. So, hotel is lovely to stay in but please don’t leave anything in your room as you won’t get it back!!! Hotel needs to sort out it’s lost item policy.

I’ve visited the Leonardo Royal a few times before and enjoyed my stay. This time I was disappointed as I called multiple times before our check-in date to organise birthday decor for our room as I was celebrating my partners birthday. The hotel failed to organise this with me. On the day of check out, we paid for late check out but were disturbed multiple times by house-keeping which was frustrating as I had a 4 month old baby in the room sleeping. Left with a bad impression on this occasion.

Liked the comfort of the beds spacious room with large TV in room, complimentry water bottles, coffee machine all was ok just disappointed with the supposed 24 hour snacks not being available the excuse was they were having problems with the oven although it was just a sandwich I wanted. My last stay didn't have them available as they were having chef problems. The Duty Manager will look into these problems though.

Modern well kept hotel. Staff all friendly. Convenient parking. Great location for bars and restaurants. Easy walk to the arena. Tram transport near by for city centre visits. Plentiful breakfast. Only negative, lifts are slow. Would definitely come again.

A great stay close to the Symphony Hall

A lovely hotel, less than a 5 minute walk from the Symphony Hall. Spread over 15-16 floors, not pretty from the out side but friendly & comfortable inside. Very inviting (although busy) at check-in, Room was spacious , clean & in great condition with everything you need. 2 restaurants (one with Indian cuisine), great food & service! The hotel was busy as it was a Friday night but there was a great atmosphere. During the night the room was very quiet. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection of food. The staff were supportive & friendly throughout. There is parking available although we didn’t need it. For us, 10/10. Thank you!!
