"The staff were amazing and the buildings were historic and authentic. Loved the cottage gardens, outdoor dining and overall vibe. Only negative was the lack of air conditioning on a very hot night on the third floor. We appreciated the presence of a fan, but there was a power outage and since the room only had windows on one side, it was hard to cross ventilate."

"Lovely location and room. However the cooked breakfast was not the best. I was waiting for bacon, which the staff knew I was waiting for bacon until I enquired again to be told that the bacon was the mashed up stuff on the top with a load of other potato, tomato and other stuff - not sure what as to be honest it didn't look good. It actually put me off the breakfast. Was so disappointed. I'm not into cake or breads so didn't try them but was so looking forward to the cooked breakfast."

"A good place to stay that could be so much better. Nice room: clean and tidy. Sturdy walls so no extraneous noises from the potentially possibility of loud and boisterous fellow guests! Toilet didn't work: flushing mechanism and front panel were broken. TV only had a handful of channels (and no BBC), no guide on either the TV set or through the QR code to the website. Was this room really ready to be occupied? It took over two hours and three personal visits to reception to get any service on either matter (I was offered a public toilet that hadn't been flushed, as an alternative!). On the third visit to reception I was lucky enough to find a Duty Manager there - he followed me to the room and did an excellent job reprogramming the TV and partially repairing the toilet, so that it operated without the front panel. Breakfast food choice and quality was very good, although the cooked breakfast was a tepid temperature, at best. Items were cold before the meal was finished. It could've all been so much better. Overall, a good place to stay. It has so much potential. Staff were friendly and polite. With a bit more thought and effort on the part of those in charge, it could be so, so, so much better."

"We where incredibly lucky as the booking had been paid for in full and therefore no refund, however to the hear when we arrived Victoria knew how hot the facilities are allowed us to change our booking. She didn’t need too but felt she did the right thing. It’s is extraordinarily hot so maybe the hotel may need to look at other cooling solutions, but for us they where fabulous"

"Very nice refurbished room, with a comfortable bed and good pillows and duvet. Great walk in shower inclusive of nice complimentary toiletries. The overall venue is great with a large bar and comfy seating areas. There is also outside seating. Very good food menu including a Sunday roast. I will be staying here again as we are frequent visitors to Marlow"
