On the first floor there is also a snug, whilst downstairs on the ground floor there are two cloakrooms, a commercial kitchen, a bar, a breakfast room, a dining room with a sitting area and gas and open fires and a sitting room. Outside there is ample off road parking and the hall is set in its own private lawned grounds with a patio and ‘the pod’, a summer house. The Neighborhood:
Eastgate is a small village in Weardale, popular for walking and cycling. The village once marked the eastern boundary of Stanhope Park, the scene of many grand and historical hunting expeditions. The village is also famed for being the birthplace of Emerson Bainbridge, founder of the world’s first department store. Eastgate is set in rural countryside and is home to a pub and the delightful Horsley Hall which provides fine dining and afternoon tea. Further amenities can also be found in the village of Stanhope located just three miles away.
