Very beautiful setting, great swimming pool (full length and in front of property, amazing views. Well equipped kitchen and modern 3 bedroom flat with large bedrooms. The lounge is a little hot without A/C

West Island resort on the Marina

The resort is build on the only marina in mauritius. Originally build for expats as they can not own land within 100m of the beach, the resort is very new and upmarket. There is a spa, restaurant and pool and most rooms overlook the waters of the marina chanels. Exceptional fittings and luxury, the resort is close to shops and the beach is about 300m from resort. Bus service of mauritius run past front of resort. The resort concierge and horizon (administrators and agents for some of the privately owned units) arrange transport to and from airport and if you fly in late they will prestock your fridge. It's advisable to hire a small car once at the resort..units are fully equipped and each have a balcony some units or villas at the resort have a plunge pool

All in all OK

We stayed at West Island by Horizon Holiday. Robby was friendly and welcomed us warmly. Unfortunately, one of the rooms had a strong sewage smell that spread into the living room. Despite attempts to fix it, the smell remained, so we couldn’t use that room and had to share the remaining two. This negatively affected our overall experience. Robby was kind and helped us arrange for a chef to cook for us one evening - and he tried to fix the smell, though it could not be resolved. Perfect communication and service from Robby. There is a Infiniti pool near by, surroundings could maybe use renovation; broken wooden floor, loose tiles on floor with water undere Beautiful sunset view from pool and harbour. Apart from the smelling problem there’s nothing really wrong with the place itself but we don’t think the price matches the accommodation. Some items listed on Hotels.com were missing, including indoor slippers, bathrobes, and an iron. Restaurant closed. The gym charge extra for use.

Skøn lejlighed i Black River, Mauritius

Flot stor lejlighed beliggende i et trygt og roligt område. Stort funktionelt køkken med stort udvalg af køkkengrej. 3 soveværelser med hvert deres flotte badeværelse. God service både fra Hotel manager og Housekeeping som tømmer opvasker, samt vaskemaskine og hænger tøj op. Adgang til lækker infinity pool med skøn udsigt ud over havet. Samt gratis adgang til Fitness rum. All in All skønt sted.

Rigtig god plads, udstyr og faciliteter i lejlighed med 3 soveværelse. Skal op på 2. sals lejligheder for udsigt. Der er myg (November). Personalet alle steder sød og hjælpsom. Rolig beliggenhed, i nærheden af både vand aktiviteter og bjerge.
