Welcome to The Treehouse Retreat, an authentic wooden log cabin where handy adventure blends with the tranquility of the mountains. Nestled between two famous North Georgia villages and nestled on Cherry Log Mountain, this is the perfect starting point for touring or just relaxing.
IDEAL SITE | The Best of Both Worlds
• 15 minutes to Blue Ridge: Take in this well-known mountain town's stores, restaurants, and picturesque railroad.
• 15 minutes to Ellijay: Explore the "Apple Capital of Georgia," with its festivals, orchards, and quaint city.
• True Mountain Seclusion: A short, lovely drive from everything, enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest with frequent sightings of deer, turkeys, and (from a distance) black bears.
YOUR PRIVATE SANCTUARY IN THE MOUNTAIN
• Classic Cabin Charm: A wood-burning rock fireplace and soaring ceilings all contribute to the cozy, welcoming ambiance.
• Soak & Unwind: Lounge on the large covered deck while taking in the sounds of the forest or unwind in the private outdoor hot tub.
• Completely Equipped for Relaxation: All the conveniences of home are available, including a full kitchen, central air conditioning and heating, a washer and dryer, and smart TVs in the living area and both bedrooms.
• Pet-Friendly: Bring your animal companion! We allow one pet only, under 50 lbs, and only shed-free dogs. A $200 deposit is required. We provide plenty of pet-friendly blankets and towels, as well as dog bowls.
• Endless Cabin Entertainment: Take advantage of our complimentary WiFi, board games, puzzles, books, and DVDs.
THE SPACE | Cozy & Complete
This 2-bedroom, 1-bath cabin masterfully blends rustic character with modern convenience. The open living area, anchored by its cozy fireplace, flows to the kitchen and dining space. The bedrooms (one queen, one full) offer peaceful retreats. The covered deck is your outdoor living room, featuring the hot tub, seating, and a front-row seat to nature.
Awaiting Adventure | Just Outside Your Door
• Hiking & Water: The renowned Benton MacKaye Trail is directly accessible. Short drives to Carter's Lake, Lake Blue Ridge, the Aska Adventure Area, and the Toccoa River for fishing and tubing.
• Local Flavors: Discover year-round vineyards, antique stores, and great dining in both towns, as well as seasonal treats like apple picking in Ellijay in the fall and peach festivals in the summer.
• Just Unplug: The greatest journey? Observing wildlife, enjoying coffee on the porch, and allowing the mountain pace to slow you down.
VERY IMPORTANT TRIP NOTES
Mountain Road Access: The cabin is reached via a scenic, half-mile gravel mountain road that winds alongside a stream. This last section is narrow and hilly. It is easily navigated by cars, SUVs, crossovers, and small/medium trucks. (If this is your first mountain trip, the terrain might take some getting used to.)
Unsuitable for: XL trucks (such as Dually-sized trucks), motorhomes/RVs, low-clearance sports cars, and any vehicles with trailers. If this describes your car, please reserve a paved-road property; we want your vacation to be stress-free!
Mountain Living Note: Due to our mountain location, internet and power may occasionally go out during severe weather. It's rare, but it happens. We’ve equipped the cabin with backup basics (flashlights, candles, and board games!) just in case. While it’s not a common occurrence, we want you to be prepared and embrace the true off-grid charm if Mother Nature has other plans.
A starter supply of necessities, bedding, towels, and complete cookware is included in your stay.
Book your authentic mountain getaway today! The Treehouse is waiting.
