The hotel was very easy to find and was very convenient. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the swimming pool facilities, this was very pleasant as the water was actually the temperature it said it was 31deg. The htoel was conveniently situated to walk along to a local pub where the food was very good.

The hotel was clean and the bath/shower was fine. However, the food and staff were shocking, both for dinner and breakfast. Staff don't carry notepads so 8 ordered one main in 4 parts and as expected it came out wrong from the kitchen meaning it had to be sent back, which led to a cold dinner 10mins later when the heat lamp failed to keep the chips warm. Despite there being barely 3 tables at either meal no one seemed interested in helping. At breakfast I had to dig through the plates to find one not crusted with egg. The pastries, bread, and juices weren't stocked despite the quiet morning. The room was cold and on turning on the radiator, which was set to off in winter, there was no heat and the noise was horrendous, I recommend getting servicing in to bleed these and make sure they are working.

Thank you for your recent review following your stay with us here at the hotel. I do hope that you took the time to speak with a member of the management team whilst you were at the hotel as the points you raise could easily be resolved. It is very rare for us to receive negative comments on the team and the service we provide. We do complete regular audits of the breakfast area to identify any areas that may need attention and the breakfast plates have never come up as an issue. I hope this was pointed out to the breakfast supervisor on duty so any plates could be removed. I will be sure to try and locate the room you stayed in to resolve the problem you mention about the radiator.

not very good

i stay away in hotels twice a week with work so rarely bother to leave reviews unless very good or very bad. this was the latter. staff were good, no issues there. room tired and in need of decoration, as was the hotel. shower was pathetic, could only get warm water not hot and power was rubbish. the worst thing was the food. only bar food available. only 5 starters to chose from, they only had 3. only 6 or 7 mains, two were off the menu. so it was basically a burger or a pizza. i chose burger, i wish i hadn't. very poor. and the starter i chose was crispy squid rings, (they had run out of chicken hot wings) , these were squidgy squid rings, undercooked. the group of 7 guys sat next to me were not eating, until dominos delivered, i see why now, and the 2 guys behind the bar were waiting on their chinese take away to be delivered rather than eat the hotel food, which i guess they must get at a discount. But that was understandable also, i wish i had chosen take away food. all in all a very poor stay. will not be returning

Dear Steve I am sorry to hear your comments in relation to your previous visit to the hotel. I have spoken to the relevant team members to ensure all items are available for our guests. I do note that you stated you will not be returning to the hotel for a future stay however I hope that you will reconsider this and you will realise this is not a common theme.
