Convenient but noisy near Boston College

The hotel itself as a facility is quite nice, comfortable, modern. But it abuts the Boston Transit system and can be pretty noisy - the Green Line trains run until about midnight and start again at 5-6am. You are also charged a $25 per day "destination fee" which you can use towards food and beverage but are not given a credit if unused. It also is not applied against the $45 a night parking fee. To add insult to injury, staff did not show up for breakfast this morning so I ended up checking out 30 minutes past the time it was to start (they did give people checking out a credit for that) All in, just an OK stay.

Boston Hotel Review

My daughter and I started our 4 night stay at this Marriott hotel. We arrived late morning and our room was clean and ready. Freshly washed floors and clean linens. On our check out day, we were allowed to keep our luggage in the room until our last college tour was over and we were able. To pick it up to head to the airport.

My only challenge may have been self inflicted. We had a $25/room/night charge that appeared to me at booking time as optional that wasn't at check-in time. We were able to benefit from it, but I would have liked to have seen more clearly before committing what all I was spending.

The mini-fridge and air conditioner were very loud, when turning on at night. The coffee machine was leaky. The ice machine on the 2nd floor was broken One of the two elevators was broken for at least a day. Because of our schedule we could not use any amenities provided by additional $25 fee, which over duration of the stay made overall stay 10% more expensive than advertised on Expedia. The transit card ( part of fee benefit) was invalid. Beds were comfortable, overall it did the job, would have been fine for a lesser hotel at lower price, but not a typical Marriott experience.
