If it weren’t for the way the host treated me, this would be a 3–4 star review. The host asks for contact via WhatsApp, which I initially thought was for convenience, but clearly it was so he could be rude outside Expedia’s visibility. I first messaged through Expedia and received no response. When I reached out on WhatsApp with a simple question about luggages, his responses were hostile. He made comments like “make your question intelligible first,” even though my message was polite and simple. He also claimed those were answered via Expedia messages, which I never received. About 12 days before the trip was our first contact. Then, 1 day before arrival, he finally replied on Expedia, only to inform me that we had to go to a different location than the one booked. He did not ask for permission or confirmation. I called Expedia and they told me the host claimed he was “waiting for my approval,” which was untrue. Expedia advised us to go, so we did. Now to the apartment: paper-thin walls, blinds shorter than the window, and a bed next to such window, leaving no privacy and constant bright light on our faces. The room was small, barely fitting luggage for two people. Other guests often left doors unlocked, and although cameras were present, the host seemed unconcerned. He sends a 10-page rules document, but no one followed it, and it was written in the same rude tone as his messages. I would not recommend this place. Pros: close to public transportation and shopping nearby.
