Unsafe and dirty

I booked this room for my wife and son for there trip to college orientation. I booked two beds, and expected basic feelings of safety for them. There were homeless people standing near their room, they were given one bed (not okay for my wife and 18 year old), ans the room smelled like weed. They checked out quickly and went to another hotel.

The good: it was clean and quieter than expected and the beds were comfortable The bad: this was the most I’ve ever paid for a room for a night that had so little in it. No microwave, no refrigerator. Only 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels .. No washclothes (it was a 2 bed/4 occupant room) The ugly: found a spider and web in bathroom and we had to hold down the toilet handle for a bit for the toilet to flush

It was a quiet place and convenient to get on and off the highway. Staff were pleasant, polite and helpful. It had all amenities - microwave, fridge, iron & ironing board, blow dryer, coffee pot. The room was clean and the a/c was already on so arriving to a cool room on a very hot day was a huge plus! Overall experience was great!

The lobby was very clean. The room was also for the most part clean - a chip on the face basin and bath but otherwise clean. I left for a little while and went on the road after checking in - when I got back it was late - maybe 8/9 PM. As I settled in the room, I felt something biting me. I spoke to my daughter who was with me and was very tired and she said she thinks it was mosquitoes but wasn't sure. I did some work and then left again and purchased OFF Spray/ My daughter covered up and went to sleep. I tried to go to sleep but the biting got worse. I honestly don't know what it was. We did not disturb the sheets and brought a blanket from home to cover ourselves. the biting got so bad I called the front desk at 2 AM. The front desk clerk suggested I changed the room - but my daughter was covered up and sleeping - so I didn't want to disturb her. I used the OFF spray and the biting stopped a little - but was still there. I am disappointed it didn't work out because I am travelling from Albany NY to Dana Farber every week for the next 10 weeks. I even booked the room again earlier in the evening before I left and came back for next week - but have since cancelled that reservation. I don't have much mosquitoes were I live so I honestly don't know if that was the issue - all I know is that it was miserable and continued all night.
