Arriving at the property was very nice, and check-in initially seemed smooth. However, once I made it to my room, I realized it was not the room type I had requested. I went back downstairs to speak with the front-desk hostess and ended up waiting in line for over 45 minutes due to the high volume of guests and only one employee working the front desk.
When I finally spoke with the attendant, I was informed that the manager did not properly block out the oceanfront rooms, which resulted in those of us who originally booked that room type not receiving what we paid for. I was told that the room I was given was the only option available and that the hotel would be compensating me for the inconvenience.
As of now, I have not received any compensation, despite being assured that I would. This was especially disappointing because I was in town for my graduation, and I have stayed at many hotels due to traveling often as a sports mom. Unfortunately, this has been one of the most disappointing experiences, and I truly hope management sees this and takes action regarding my situation.
