Just steps from the ferry and tucked into the peaceful Deep Bay neighbourhood on Bowen Island, the Palm Retreat Suite is a sanctuary designed for intentional slow stays. Set in Deep Bay, one of the island’s most charming neighbourhoods, the Palm Retreat Suite is walking distance from the galleries, cafés and restaurants in Snug Cove village. Get there on foot via a beautiful trail with sweeping views of the Coastal Mountains and Howe Sound, or by car in just 3 minutes. The neighbourhood also boasts proximity to the Crippen Park trails, which network with Mt. Gardner and cross-island trails. It is also walking distance to our very own neighbourhood beach, Pebbly. Leave your car behind and explore on foot, or bring it along. There is ample, safe parking at the house and on the street. Our local beach, Pebbly, is a 5 minute walk away, and it gets sun late into the afternoon.

You have your own private entryway at the front of the house via a staircase to a small deck with large french doors. You have access to the front of the property. The back yard is reserved for access by the home owner, though you are most welcome to ask if you would like to use the back patio.

The Palm Retreat Suite is perfect for a couple or solo traveler craving peaceful island living, ease of arrival, and a base that’s walking distance to the ferry, "snug" village energy, beaches, and trails. Drive here in less than 3 minutes right off the ferry, or walk via a shortcut in less than 10 minutes via a beautiful trail with ocean and mountain views. If you bring your car, there is ample parking in the driveway or on the street.

Enter your private suite via your own exterior staircase to elegant French doors and be greeted by a sun-filled space with a king bed with organic mattress, crisp white linens, and a curated palette of natural materials. Every detail, from the selection of furniture to the thoughtful amenities, is oriented toward ease and comfort. There are nightstands with lamps, a low console table with local maps and our Welcome Book, a large Smart TV (login for access to Netflix, Prime, Disney, and a host of other streaming services), and ample storage to hang and store clothing and luggage. The spacious en suite bathroom has a shower/tub combo and excellent water pressure. The suite also boasts a kitchenette with a Nespresso coffee machine, a generous supply of pods, tea kettle, tea selection, mini fridge/freezer, and toaster oven.

Whether you’re stepping out to explore Bowen's rugged coasts, rainforest trails, stroll local markets and galleries, or simply unwind with a movie in bed, Palm Retreat Suite is a refined yet relaxed base for your island days.

NEED MORE SPACE?
Feel free to inquire if you would like more space for travelling companions. PETS:
We welcome your furry companion (we love animals) as long as they can stay off the furniture (please bring a bed or blanket for them). We ask also that you bring along a towel to clean their paws if they are entering from outside (all of ours are white). Please add your pet to the reservation as we charge a $35 pet cleaning fee.

You can walk to the house from the ferry in under 10 minutes via a short cut, or drive in less than 5 minutes. There is a local bus that passes through the loop. It is also walking distance to Snug Cove. There is dedicated parking and free street parking available as well if you choose to drive. We also welcome guests on bikes and can offer a ton of advice about road, gravel and mountain biking all over the island.
